  1. Would be an interesting idea to have dorm style housing provided as an option for new players, rookies. Could help them in the transition of getting acquainted to the area & team. Idk how many would take it up as an option, but could be a good way to foster team cohesion & envelope rookies in the playbook & training. Idk if any team has attempted something like this in the past. I know when players get traded they often have housing issues & will get put up in hotels or condos. Having a home base could eliminate that issue. And it'd be cool to have say 7 BILLS picked to live in a loft and have their lives taped, to find out what happens when people stop being polite… and start getting real. (Sorry couldnt resist)
  2. We definitely need to bring in more weapons for Josh but no on Keenan Allen. He commands too high a cap number for what we can expect from an oft-injured 30 year old wr, and in relation to our other team needs. I also dont like paying out big contracts to players over 30. We have a few players in that situation & I'd rather we get someone younger personally. Especially at positions where speed is important & youth is available elsewhere. A team that commits big money to older players ends up being handcuffed by those contracts. We're seeing it already with our present cap situation. Jakobi Meyers could work, DJ Chark or even Marquise Goodwin can be had cheap & both have speed. If people are set on Keenan, i'd offer Marvin Jones Jr for a fraction of the cost. Not the potential upside of Keenan but relatively comparable wrs & production. Keenan might work out on Madden but i dont know how we can address all our needs while acquiring him.
  3. And for all the love for Andy Reid, he's still only won 1 title & that was with Mahomes in 2019. Guess he sucks!
  4. that would be a nice welcome development for sure, that all of us would love to see & have been hoping for all year. No better time than this Sunday. Dorsey can help try to make this happen as well of course by designing some early plays that help get Josh into a rhythm & not having to play behind on down & distance. Something that i havent seen as much of this 2nd half of the season that i'd like
  5. A poll mightve been a good option! But i'm not as confident as i'd like to be. Yes we've been winning games but i haven't seen Championship level football, have you guys? We saw it for the 1st quarter vs Miami, then well we saw the rest of that game lol. I just don't see a confident team right now. Nor do i see a team thats progressing or improving as the games increase in importance. I see an offense struggling for balance & consistency. I see a QB whose reverted back to his old rookie self a little too much. And i see self-inflicted mistakes across the board that will be the end of us one of these days. You gotta BILLIEVE but its gonna take them playing as close to a mistake free game as possible for them to win. A feat we haven't managed in idk how long.
  6. the screen game has been an issue for this offense since day 1 of Josh being the QB. At 1st it seemed like an arm issue, where Josh had difficulty with the trajectory & speed of the screen passes themselves, where they'd routinely get blown up or the blocking would be messed up. As time has gone on there has been an improvement, like last season there was a conscious effort to integrate more screens into our gameplan. This year they're non-existent. You have problems with pass blocking? Run some screens. You want some easy YAC yards? Run some screens. Its been a pet peeve of mine for the past few years. Suppose it ties in with what plagues the offense sometimes as well, where we dont take enough of the easy underneath stuff.
  7. well unless you checked everyones ID's at the gate week in week out, it'd be a challenge knowing where all 60k+ people came from. I know at least 10 people from Tonawanda who go to the games including myself, i wonder if you know us or just didnt see us those days? Ive lived in kenmore the past 8 years. Think we had 1 storm in all that time that gave us a few feet, my relatives in OP & Hamburg?... it can be a few times a year. And we could get into the future forecast predicting the lakes staying warmer later into the season as being the norm to expect for the future, where the potential for stronger lake effect storms would be on the rise in the years/decades to come. But on average our snowfall amounts are a foot or 2 less per year total in comparison. If you're familiar with how lake effect works, you're aware of why the snow belt is where it is & that is where our new stadium will be built. We had decades to study all the impacts of stadium locations to this region & in the end we chose to build a smaller one next to the old one. And i think it is a legitimate issue spending tax payer money building a stadium not suited for our team or our region. Like only we could be okay with that with our expectations so low, just happy anything is being done at all, everything else be darned. Thats pretty much the sense i get from everyone who supports it. Yeah we're not completely thrilled with it but at least its something & the team will stay here... just be happy!
  8. it all seems so simple when u put it like that But yeah agree with everything youve said. I'll add that defenses can cheat towards defending Allen & the pass if they know thats what we're gonna do 70% of the time. And our percentage of passing plays has actually increased from last season & we're running the ball even less. If you were an OC analyzing last years performance & shortcomings, would you say we needed to pass even more as your big lesson learned from last year? We even have the benefit of hindsight, being able to learn from our previous season's shortcomings.... to only just repeat the same mistakes of the past? Its maddening haha. But we're even worse than the past bcuz Knox has all but disappeared & we dont have our slot wr worked out yet & on the outside Davis is here for a game & invisible for 2 after. And forget even questioning the wisdom of giving Knox that big contract extension... as if there was a pressing need to throw money at him before another team swept him up from us. We're just not maximizing our potential with the current assets we have. We're not getting the most out of our personnel & that is a bit concerning from a coaching perspective. Winning does make everything better however. If we had won last game out we'd be less critical but all we have to work from & evaluate are the things we see. All that said we lost two 1 score games to teams with winning records, sky isnt falling yet but its getting cloudy... GO BILLS
  9. yeah we just don't have the technology to build a roof able to withstand snow.... sorry... "partial" roof. In 2022... just can't do it yet. 🤣 But after decades of time where we have asked the question: 'what if we could build another stadium'... we finally have our opportunity to take all that we have learned & build a new stadium & what do we come up with? We build an even smaller stadium right next to the old one. That pretty much sums up the bar to pass around here lol. An opportunity to do something big or beneficial for this community & region & we line up at the trough like pigs hungry to eat up the bs they feed us because we're what, just happy the team is staying? Some will defend these designs to the death. Others like myself feel from the very start strategically speaking we already have failed. In size, scale, location, in its ability to generate revenue & pay back its costs outside of a handful of games each year? To being designed with the local weather in mind. One could literally go on & on with this failure of imagination & planning & process. This whole thing is a big crock of bs imho, something only we would **** up to this degree.
  10. Could also be a combination of the 2. There's good reason to bring him along slowly. We also know we're not immune from mishandling players & game situations & new stadiums & just about anything. For me, i've seen enough thats positive out of Devin's game & Cook's that we need to see more of a commitment to both. Singletary doesnt need to be brought along slowly, whats the excuse for him? Is a 4.4 ypc average just not good enough to cut it in the NFL?
  11. I'm not saying i disagree bcuz we know how good a player Tre is. But we've literally replaced his play with 2 rookie cb's in week 1, so we evidently can replace him & still be okay
  12. Ah so you think our coaching staff is great at making adjustments then & theres nothing to improve? Well i admire your perception of things. To me correlation is not causation. We have countless examples discussed in these forums from the past couple seasons where we're not switching things up. We have glaring examples from just the past couple games... today even. If u cant see that then i dont know what to tell you either lol. The saving grace is we have a superstar QB & playmakers who can usually make enough plays to get a win, on both sides of the ball. But when defenses shut down Josh & u dont adjust thats an issue. If you're playing a 2nd year JETS QB coming off a meltdown vs the Pats, who isnt very threatening as a passer, perhaps you shouldnt be playing nickel all day, especially on critical drives when theyve ran 8 times in a row & you're having trouble stopping it. That seems like a good time to change it up just a little no? Statistically our defense is great. But if you had 1 play where you needed your defense to step up & make a stop, would you pick ours as that defense? Last year obviously that was a no. Von Miller changed that equation a bit. Not today tho.... we just couldnt stop the run & didnt seem overly concerned about adjusting to do so either.
  13. I understand our philosophy & its successful when executed well. I'm more concerned about the lack of in-game adjustments. We're slow to adjust game in/game out & its a bit of a headscratcher, and on both sides of the ball. I'd think that the best coaches constantly adapt to the changing environment, not only to the plays themselves on the field but to the players as well. Much has been said about Sean McVay & his halftime adjustments. Our coaches are constantly panned as being some of the best too. They deserve a lot of credit, but a lot of criticism as well. Its time to see some of that top tier coaching & not just rely on Josh pulling the W out of his arse every week. Dude cant do it alone
  14. From Josh's very first throw i thought maybe he was nervous or over-excited about playing vs 1 of his childhood idols in Rodgers. We've seen it before from him, where he's so amped up to play that it takes a series or 2 for him to settle down & collect himself (for lack of a better word). I'm not gonna presume i know anything about what Josh's issues were last night. I really want to watch the All-21. But the bar he's set for QB play has been set so high, anything less than 300 3tds feels like an off performance. It was still a solid game by anyones standards & we got the dub. I'm good with that
  15. their inability to improve their offensive line play & not only protect Burrow but also open up running lanes for Mixon has been an issue from an outsider like myself. It has improved as the season has gone on, (they're not giving up 6-7 sacks anymore). But its almost as if Cinci treats Burrow like he's a Josh Allen & can do everything himself. Boyd's been dinged up a bit, Higgins & now Chase too. Cinci can't really afford for any of these 3 to miss time. If they find a way to get Mixon rolling that'll help them out immensely
  16. i'll do what i do every week, stream the game over the internet if anyone needs any help in this regard pm me GO BILLS
  17. On paper or in the Madden video game, CMC or Saquon make a ton of sense. But in the real world i can't see making a commitment to 2 oft-injured RB's in a blockbuster trade, mortgaging high draft picks on them before the trade deadline. I just dont think its the answer here. We havent even made a commitment to run with the rb's we have now when its been successful. I'd rather spend the draft capital on shoring up our oline & drafting a rb on a cost controlled deal who can be the guy going forward.
  18. right now we have Shakir, we're fine right now. But it'd be wise to look ahead for more depth in case God's forbid any more injuries strike.
  19. Sucks for Crowder but its an opportunity for someone else. OBJ realistically in play potentially now?
  20. I actually think the ball control was designed to help out the defense from being on the field too long. As being down 5 starters & in a worse off position than the offense, all of us going into the game figured it'd be the defense that would be in trouble. So it appeared to my crowd of people watching the game that we were smart to do that. And it would've worked had Josh & the gang just executed the plays they ordinarily would make. Not directing this at you or even about this topic, but after a tough loss almost everyone over reacts to everything. Josh doesnt fumble so close to the end zone. Gabe catches his TD, McKenzie catches his, Bass makes his fg, put another play here too if u want, point is any one of those we execute & we're all singing a different tune. GO BILLS
  21. Close games are always tough. Especially when Josh misses a TD to McKenzie he usually makes 10/10 times, or any of the other plays that couldve impacted this game. Fact is we played a good team on a short week with half our starting defense out & with dealing with the heat & officiating & injuries, we still can say we shouldve won this game. I mentioned this to a friend earlier how it feels like it takes something dramatic to beat us. Whether it be those 13 seconds or a game like today. We are an extremely difficult team to play against & Miami had the football Gods in their favor today & we barely lost a close one on the road at the end. Not gonna overreact to this one. It wouldve been easy for our team to pack it in & make excuses, but they fought til the end, til the point of exhaustion. Hard loss to take but i appreciate the effort & heart from our guys today.,
  22. From what i've heard, after last week's game ended players started getting IV treatments to prepare. The team brought down airconditioned benches i heard too mentioned during the game. Idk how much else we could've done. The heat is hot, its just like that lol. Thankfully there wont be many more games the heat is an issue.
  23. Josh would stiff arm Chucky in the face & toss him to the ground like the old man he is today. I dont care how much kung fu he knew back in the day, Josh would wreck him agree 100%
