  1. They have some players like Poyer and Diggs where they can convert some of their base salary into a signing bonus and free up enough money to get through the season. The cap in the NFL is more like a suggestion at times.
  2. I would offer a conditional 4th that can escalate to a 3rd based on Hursts performance. I like pairing him up with Knox and the team has the transition tag if they want to resign him. Got to push in for a "win now" move and this is a fairly affordable way to add another piece to the team.
  3. I think people get way too worked up by late round picks. Guys picked in rounds 6-7 are typically going to be niche role or depth players if they make the roster or PS developmental type players. I like the Anderson pick, I think he will make the PS and get called up if there is an injury.
  4. He was drafted in the 7th round, although I liked the player they took in round 7 I was shocked they didn't draft Tonga who fit a more immediate depth need.
  5. I guess the pro talent evaluators think Edumonds is pretty good. Don't hate this move at all regarding Edumonds, he has been a pretty good player when he has solid NT play in front of him and he isn't banged up. I think a lot of people here over criticize him even if he maybe is a bit overrated by the media. Either way more talent is staying through 2022 which isn't a bad thing. More than likely means that they extend both Josh and Edumonds most likely Josh by June and Edumonds next off-season.
  6. I have to think at the very least a vet one tech will be added by camp for competition
  7. Ike played well to end last season not sure why he can secure the LG spot.
  8. I agree an upgrade could be used but I think Wallace is a mid level player at his position. I think if the pass rush improves a bit it can easily help the secondary.
  9. This team went 13-3 with Wallace as the CB2 he isn’t a tragic player, I do agree they were probably looking for something at CB but nothing was there at the value they wanted.
  10. I don’t necessarily buy the idea the “Bills didn’t get better” for one the pass rush adds two high draft picks and only lost Trent Murphy a non factor and Jefferson a solid rotational player they replaced with that DE from Carolina who might be a slight upgrade. They also replaced Roberts and Ty in the draft retaining depth along with replacing Brain Winters and John Brown with comparable players. Overall I see the additions to the pass rush being a bigger deal than many here think. Although this is speculation I do think the front office is still in on Ertz who could be a nice add. Still even if they don’t make a final move I think the roster is slightly better than the 2020 roster. Nothing ground breaking but returning a 13-3 team with great depth and some improvement in the pass rush is a team I would take a chance with.
  11. 7th round pick is most likely going to hit the PS.
  12. You don’t need to run a 4.4 to be a great player but it certainly helps
  13. Hoping they can take Marvin Wilson in round 7, loving the depth they got in round 5-6 thus far. Wilson would add some good run defense up the middle and a possible Star replacement long term.
  14. Diggs, Beasley, Sanders, Davis, Mac and Marquez or Hodgins with the loser of that 6 WR spot going to the PS is the way I see it, Mac likely to make the roster unless Hodgins and Marquez just ball out in camp
  15. Love these depth moves in the secondary, ST Impact and longer term depth
  16. Nice Roberts replacement and longer term Mac replacement, good type of find in round 6.
  17. Josh Rosen should have been taken over Josh Allen, fell into the the "analytics" trap and lazy scouting. I did quickly after they made the pick talk myself into being super hyped about Josh Allen. Like about 15 minutes after they made the pick I was at least somewhat on board with the Josh Allen pick.
  18. Smart trade, hopefully they get some good depth players at LB and in the secondary.
  19. They needed a Ty replacement, solid depth to an Oline that needed a swing tackle, go grab an NT and some secondary depth in round 5.
  20. Derrick Henry was listed at 6 foot 3 when coming out the draft and he is still listed at 6 foot 3. It isn’t impossible a guy can grow an inch at age 21 or 22 just not very likely. The players to do so in the NBA were usually 19 or 20.
  21. I wanted Oweh too but I am pretty ok with who they went with. They got some young talent at a position where they needed young talent. Not a bad night.
  22. I don’t see him growing 2 inches at age 21. Typically when I see players have growth spurts in the NBA they are around 19 or 20.
  23. What exactly is the 49ers offer? Jimmy G, pick 3, a pair of future 2nd round picks and what else? Unless Bosa is in there I wouldn't really be that fond of that offer over what Miami can offer which is 3 picks in the top 36 (including pick 6) and a pair of future firsts in 2022 among other picks.
  24. I would rather take a better deal from Miami. Give me pick 6, 18, 36 and 81 in 2021 and their 1st and the 49ers 1st in 2022 along with swapping picks in the second round. The Packers have Jordan Love at QB, go all in with him and get 4 premium picks and two future firsts to surround him with talent on a rookie deal.
  25. I only think Miami is in play. NE could make an offer but Miami can blow them away so I wouldn't worry about that. The Jets have the draft capital but they are going ot want to rebuild with a rookie and the rest of their draft picks as Rodgers doesn't fit their timeline esp if they have to trade away most of their assets to get him. Miami on the other hand can offer 3-4 premium picks in the 2021 draft tonight and two firsts in 2022. Why do the Jets make more sense? Their roster is pretty bad and Rodgers won't make them that much better if they have to give up most of their picks to get Rodgers.
