  1. If that’s the case then I don’t mind taking a chance if he is there at pick 30. I think the locker room could absorb a lesser character guy.
  2. If he can’t make a difference rushing the passer I would give this a pass. I don’t have an issue taking a chance but it has to be the right chance.
  3. I would much rather just stay where this team is at picks 30 and 62. Unless a really good difference making edge rusher falls to that range (which is massively unlikely) then just stay where you are and get the last pieces you need to get this team over the hump.
  4. I would also argue that especially in the COVID time where off season and even in season activities are limited continuity is a strength. 7 out of the final 8 teams playing had very little over haul to their rosters and yes Tampa who made a significant amount of changes won it all that more so points to them being an exception to that more so than that being an inherently better strategy.
  5. I look forward to the next cycle of this process where the players who were productive here but went elsewhere to get paid come back after getting cut 2 or 3 seasons later and perform great again. Jordan Phillips and Shaq are prime targets for this to happen.
  6. Ertz, resigning Ike and a vet Dline player (either a one tech or a edge reclamation project) would be a nice way to round out free agency. You then go into the draft and you can draft an edge rusher and corner to solidify the defense and a OT in round three for some Oline depth and then draft depth in round 5 to 7. I don’t see this Ertz situation getting resolved soon however.
  7. Wyatt wasn’t traded because they gave his spot to an ST player...
  8. D Jax is likely a low end deal that is going to end up as a reclamation project. Solid deal for the Rams most likely. He hasn’t even been remotely healthy since 2018 but I can’t blame the Rams for kicking the tires.
  9. I think Beane is going to make 1-2 "value" signings and resign Ike. Resigning Ike is a no brainer, no reason to lose quality O-line depth on a restricted free agent in a depressed market. As far as other signings I think Beane will add 1-2 vets on the cheap. With the market the way it is right now it could become a "buyers" market and a lot of quality free agents may sign for very affordable deals and that's where Beane will slip in. I can see the D-line adding a vet and the secondary specifically. I wouldn't rule out tight end or O-line depth either.
  10. I think they will likely go with Fromm as the pure backup and either draft a younger player to be the QB3 or sign a very cheap vet. Not sure how they go about it but I think after giving Fromm two seasons to cook and learn they are going to be comfortable with him as the backup
  11. Giants were desperate for help at WR and they paid retail for a good but not great player, nothing too shocking.
  12. Locker room guys aren’t worthless. But I do agree that it is easily worth the upgrade at backup QB to take away a positive locker room influence. I loved Barkley but there is so much value that you can provide being a good locker room guy.
  13. Great deal for the Steelers, one year fairly cheap for a good player. JuJu stays where he is comfortable and gets to test the market again but doesn’t get the big deal he was looking for.
  14. I like this move, it is a small upgrade over Barkley, the only real loss is Barkley in The locker room as he seemed to be beloved. I think you have to make this move but it would have been a down grade of on field talent to keep Barkley. Bills go from one of the lesser backup QB situations to a top 10 backup. Not bad.
  15. Isn’t there an extra game this season? With 17 games and only one bye I think 5k yards for Josh is extremely possible.
  16. When you have a good team your exciting moves are keeping your talent in place and drafting. Bring on the boring.
  17. The safeties are very good, Tre is an All Pro at one of the corner positions and T. Johnson is a good slot corner and Levi is OK. Add in Dane to compete and add depth and that’s a pretty good secondary. My main issue is depth and I think this team will spend a mid round pick to sure up depth and I think they might also go bargain hunting for a vet too. Not too concerned about the secondary overall esp with Levi back.
  18. i think this move doesn’t stop the Bills from getting Ertz or another TE but it certainly gives them options.
  19. Decent Kroft replacement
  20. Sammy isn’t going to happen I just don’t see that relationship mending.
  21. One year the Chargers were the number one defense and offense in the league but had a pitiful ST unit and they finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs. ST is important.
  22. Wish Rudolph would have come cheaper, hoping for an Ertz trade now. Not sure what other options are out on the market, don’t Hate Knox but it is nice to have a vet option.
  23. The team is up against the cap due to a cap crunch and managed to retain almost all of their key free agents and replace John Brown and keep some of the team’s depth while still being able to add pieces view the draft and the later stages of free agency where serious bargains could be available.
  24. If you think you have the right to not wear a mask on a crowded close quarters plane then you are a fool and that’s putting it nicely.
  25. If this wasn’t for a lot of money I like the signing. Fromm needs at least another year to cook before I trust him as a backup. Mitch isn’t going to cut it as a starter but he is a good backup option.
