He totally held, but it had nothing to do with the play. Those are the calls I wish they would just let go. The refs could call a penalty on every play if the wanted to, but if it’s not a personal foul and has no effect on the play then I wish they would let it go.

I feel completely confident with Klein in there for either Edmunds or Milano. He's not quite as good as they are in coverage but he brings other things to the table and is a very solid backup and 3rd LB when they go to that grouping. He's not quite Alexander, but they totally need to keep him.

I tried it out but didn’t find much use for it. Now if they added the NFL I’d be all over it, but as it is it’s pretty weak.

No escape from reality

The opposing defenses are not blitzing all that much. They don't need to. They get home with 4 or even 3 most of the time. That's the crux of the problem. Those are my thoughts exactly. I'm not sure what to call when you can't block up front. Pretty much nothing works in that case.

I don't think the OL is a high priority in the hierarchy of the team. QB and DL are obviously #1 which is totally logical, but it seems like every other position group except RB is a higher priority than OL. I don't think that's a good structure. For example, I don't think I'd be drafting and trading for WRs or TEs before the OL. As you can see from the last two weeks, if you don't have a good OL then those positions don't mean jack.

Dawkins, Feliciano and Williams have all regressed since last season. So you have to look at the OL coach and ask some questions. There may be individual explanations, but all three? That would be a heck of a coincidence without coaching issues.

Daboll needs to work harder to get the ball to Diggs. They have let the other team take him out of the game way too easily the past two weeks.

A big problem is that the players they had have regressed. Williams, Feliciano and Dawkins are all worse than they were last season. If they can just get them playing at last season's level then that would be a start.

You already have the answer in your post. RBs don't have speed. They don't have a TE that can seal the edge and only one OT that can possibly reach block someone. Maybe you can run it one or twice a game for yuks but that's about it.

Without play action to pull linebackers out of position you aren't going to find a lot of room for slants against those defenses.

They would need to change concept and not run a spread offense.

They were in 2 deep most of the time so the LBs are sitting on those underneath routes. They only went cover 0 occasionally, usually on 3rd and long.

You can't run play action when your OL is getting spanked in pass protection. They are slow developing plays and the defenders are in the QBs face way too quickly. It has nothing to do with how well you're running the ball.
