    Split end at the top of the screen. He's aligned with the slot receiver who is in the backfield. They can't be aligned and one be on the LOS and the other in the backfield.

    To be fair, what he said was that he "helped us some in the run game". He didn't really elaborate on how he played overall. It's just coach speak. He doesn't want to critique the guy to the media.

    They don’t have the front four to play cover 2 but they also don’t have the coverage personnel to play man and bring up their safeties. This is is one of the problems. Good luck playing man with no safety help with guys like Norman, Johnson and Wallace back there.

    I have to confess that I was worried this week when I heard Micah Hyde say that "If they knew what the problem was on defense they would fix it." It brought back all kinds of horrible flashbacks to the Chan Gailey days. Did not inspire confidence.

    Another option would be to go after a CB who can cover better than Norman in man to man and play more people in the box. Prince Amukamara is on the Cardinals practice squad for example.

    They gave up 470 yards of offense and let the Chiefs dominate the ball. How can your offense win a shootout with the Chiefs when they never get the ball?
