  1. The era of the running back may be over, but when you watch runs like this it really makes you miss it. No completion can hold a candle to a great run in terms of excitement.
  2. He always seems to have an incredibly diverse and effective running game, and a basic and simplistic passing game. I thought his recent stint as a “passing game coordinator” might help but I’m not sure that it has. Still, when they are rolling it’s beautiful to watch.
  3. Unfortunately, they’re not walking out that tunnel.
  4. The Bills don’t have anywhere near the DBs to play man coverage except situationally.
  5. Easy there. Just making a joke.
  6. I’d be in favor of that. Especially Miami.
  7. He made one tackle today. Otherwise he was great! Beasley has been very good too.
  8. In this case no additional information is required.
  9. It's play #8 from the review.
  10. The difference between Jefferson and Phillips is that Jefferson can't really play DT full time, despite how he was billed. It's obvious to me that he's just a guy who you kick inside in passing situations but that frequently gets steamrolled on running plays. I agree that Addison and Phillips are roughly equal, but unfortunately teams are running it at the Bills and as you state, that's Shaq's strength and not Addisons.
  11. At this point Moss doesn't even look remotely close to Travis Henry, IMO. Travis Henry was a great runner that had fumbling problems or he would have been one of the best Bills backs ever. Moss might turn out to be good but right now he looks like just another rookie RB to me.
  12. Murphy is apparently on the trading block and Harrison might not be far behind him, so I think it's more than just sending a message. If you think about it, the Bills lost 3 of their top 4 DL from last season. Lawson, Lotulelei and Phillips. At DT they even lost a prime backup in Vince Taylor. So it's not really that much of a surprise that they're struggling badly.
  13. Not great GM work if true
  14. When I read things like this I always think of something that Merlin Olsen once said: that it's a lot easier for a team to go from being bad to being good than it is to go from being good to being a champion. McDermott has done well to get the team back to respectability, but taking the next step will be even harder and we should probably wait to see if he can do it before we anoint him the best ever. As was previous posted, Lou Saban won 2 AFL championships and even Marv won 4 AFC titles.
  15. I love how DL moves are being made left and right but the Bills stand pat.
  16. This would make a lot more sense if there was anyone remotely decent available to play MLB in his absence.
  17. Because Boettger is going to play in the meantime and he didn't look good at all vs the Jets.
  18. Moss looks average. Singletary is a little better, IMO, but neither one is going to scare opponents or cause them to game planning around them.
  19. Backs with game breaking speed that can run between the tackles are rare. I'm not sure you need one either in this hyper passing era.
  20. Unfortunately, the Bills are flush with JAGs on the defensive line.
  21. You have to make a play on the ball. The days of making a big hit right as the ball arrives to prevent a catch are basically over.
  22. Sounds nice, but there is no comparison between SF's defense and Buffalo's
  23. If they can beat NE then the Bills will be on the road to recovery. It's a big if though.
  24. I see him now. So then this should be a legal formation unless the TE was a lineman or something and had an illegal number.
  25. Split end at the top of the screen. He's aligned with the slot receiver who is in the backfield. They can't be aligned and one be on the LOS and the other in the backfield.
