  1. Just be careful to not pay for past performance. Some players outperform their contracts and some underperform. The guys that underperform don't issue refunds. The team needs to evaluate what his future value will be and propose a contract accordingly.
  2. The OL dominated in the first half and held up OK for most of the second despite the Bills throwing it virtually all the time. By comparison, Houston's OL got manhandled and Watson was still spectacular. I don' think the OL is the main culprit here. If you think you're going to sit back in all clean pockets in the playoffs, on the road, then you have unrealistic expectations.
  3. Do you think the Bills are intentionally not drafting players who may become stars? Or are you looking for them to trade their next draft along with $200m on a guy like Khalil Mack?
  4. This is 100% true and I'm sure it's the reason for the decline, but there is no substitute to watching the game live in a stadium full of cheering fans, IMO.
  5. I was hoping they bring back a Roman, but I guess that ship has sailed at this point.
  6. Isn't that 90% of new HC hirings?
  7. It's hard to believe that any team that plays in NYC and wins a championship could possible be under-appreciated by pundits. It's usually the exact opposite.
  8. Probably best to forfeit and refund the fans for their tickets.
  9. If there’s a game to play then there’s only one way to play it: to win.
  10. Good. I want the best players playing for both teams for the most entertaining game possible.
  11. Time takes out everybody. It’s undefeated. (credit Rocky Balboa)
  12. He said he was probably going to retire after the season so I think a change is a given.
  13. WR, OT and DE are definite top priority needs. RB, LB and CB are secondary depth related needs, IMO. I would draft OT and WR in the first and second rounds and try to get DE via free agency, if possible. They aren't going to find an impact DE where they are drafting. RB, LB and CB can be a free agents and also probably draft LB and CB as well in the middle rounds.
  14. Yes. One of the primary reasons that teams try FGs on 3rd down is that if it's a bad snap the holder can fall on the ball and they can try again. I like it. Let's give it a try! But only the Bills.
  15. Unfortunately, given the premium nature of the position, you're highly unlikely to get a stud DE in the second round. Or even the first where the Bills will pick TBH. Best best is a FA acquisition, IMO. Use the 1st and 2nd round picks for WR and OT. OT. Did you watch the outside rush last night?
  16. There's a reason Nsekhe hasn't been placed on IR. They want him back for the playoffs badly.
  17. True. But I thought we were talking about offensive strategy. Since you are talking about the overall teams however, consider how Leslie Frasier is always talking about not giving the defense more each week that they can process to make sure that the players can "play fast." How "fast" can you play when you are not only learning new plays and formations but even new play calling terminology on a week to week basis?
  18. Of course in another thread they are discussing players like Beasley, who seem concerned that the offense is too complicated and changes too much from week to week. He compared it to the one he had in Dallas which was much simpler. The Dallas offens is leading the league is yards per game right now, so I'm not sure which is better.
  19. If there was a quick fix that could improve the offense I think the coaching staff would have done it by now. There are lots of areas where the offense can improve but it's going to take at least another offseason to work on them, IMO. In the interim, I think the best thing is to just try and improve the execution each week and slowly get a better.
  20. I thought the historical rule of thumb was that you get elected to the pro bowl one year after the first season you should have gone and keep going one year beyond where you should have made it. If Phillips can reproduce something similar to the results from this season then I think next season is his year.
  21. Exactly. There are worse DEs on the team that should go before Hughes.
  22. He has to complete them then. There were some chances according to Daboll. Agree. More talent at OT and WR and some development from guys like Knox and Singletary.
  23. Well more speed never hurts. That's for sure.
  24. I think they can use WRs like Foster or McKenzie on the end around / jet sweeps when they want speed. There are very few breakaway backs who can run between the tackles.
  25. Gore is at the end of his career but at this point I still trust him running between the tackles more than Yeldon. Yeldon seems to have the same skill set as Singletary, except not as good. They need to find a power back In the off season as a compliment to Singletary. It’s not Yeldon.
