  1. I think you nailed it, except: I don’t think Benford is above average with respect to other CBs around the league. Just average. I’m also mixed on Cook. Yes, he’s a good receiving back but he can’t block and is an average rusher. Maybe that makes him slightly above average overall but it’s close, IMO. I would say that as the roster sits right now, WR, Edge and safety are certainly below average, and it’s going to be hard to address all three with solid new starters before next season.
  2. It’s true. Alex Smith was an above average starter.
  3. He is absolutely too big a part of the offense to be sustainable. It’s crazy that he’s not only the key to their passing game, but the team’s best rusher too. Forget the injury risk, balance is in itself a weapon. It keeps teams from keying on one guy and motivates other players to lead, get into the game, and stay focused.
  4. I don’t know, they won a lot of games with Alex Smith. Mahomes put them over the top but they were a consistent winner before he got there.
  5. What is your proof to assert that the “Jets are loaded”? How many championships has their roster, coach, or FO, produced? How many playoff appearances? How many wins? It’s just hype until they prove otherwise.
  6. If he could do that he’d probably still be playing in Minnesota.
  7. I’ve been musing about this same thing. I certainly can’t see him being a mentor to their young WRs
  8. It’s classic that there is video of them drag racing, casing a major 6 car accident, then exiting their vehicles and leaving the scene like nothing happened and they think nothing of it. I love the guy filming the video of them leaving asking them where they are going and if they’re just going to leave and they’re like “yup”. 😂 these guys should lose their licenses for the next 10 years.
  9. Just kick it out of the end zone and forget about it.
  10. I can’t believe I going to chime in for Jauron here, but what do you think their respective records would look like if we swapped Beane for Levy/Brandon, and Pegula’s deep pockets for Wilson’s? I don’t think they would be quite as different as you may think.
  11. Unless Allen starts to play on defense too, I don’t think he can do much more. Allen has been good enough to win a Super Bowl for a few years now. The problem is on the other side of the ball.
  12. The Chiefs would be awesome. Can you imagine? 😂
  13. Why would he have a prescription for a performance enhancing drug that was "non-therapeutic"? Sounds like he found someone to write him a bogus prescription to get the drug.
  14. Not for a trade, lol. Unless they are the ones giving the Bills some picks to take him.
  15. Rapp is the biggest one on this list, IMO. There's a pretty big dropoff from Rapp to Hamlin / Lewis. The other guys can be adequately covered for.
  16. The Von Miller thing is baffling. It goes against everything that McDermott purports to stand for regarding earning playing time. Maybe all other options are horrible so Miller's the best they can do? Who knows.
  17. Sure. And Miller said he'd be back before the end of last season.
  18. Agree. I didn’t clearly see that myself, but you had to see it clearly miss to reverse it and I didn’t see that either.
  19. It’s not that complicated. 😂 The only question is whether it hit the TEs helmet or not.
  20. This is false. The rule you are referring to is for receivers. Once the player has caught the ball he is no longer a receiver. NFL Rule 8-1-8-b
  21. I’m not following. He caught the ball legally, fumbled, then the ball bounced into his helmet after he fell out of bounds (according to the refs). Illegal touching would be if he stepped OOB before he caught it. Tackled the wrong guy. 😂
