  1. All fair points and fair outlook. And yeah, McD to me has done an outstanding job overall. No one is ever gonna be perfect with every decision, but the overall body of work has me convinced that McD is the right coach for this team, is one of the best young coaches in the NFL, and he will be here a long time. Can’t wait to see this team next year.
  2. Beane has done a LOT though, and I don’t think a lot of GMs could have accomplished what he has so fast. He purged the wrong players out, traded players for draft assets that were more than anyone expected most of the time, found gems in free agency, had a great first draft, found the most exciting QB prospect we have had since Kelly was drafted, and most importantly simoultaneously cleaned up the entire cap a year faster than he thought it would take. Honestly, he’s already light years better than any GM (or someone playing the role) since Polian. In less than 2 years he has fully reset this franchise and set it up with a strong defense full of young talent, got us ton of cap space, compiled extra draft picks, and secured Josh Allen. We are setup for one of the most exciting off seasons in 20 years because of Beane IMO. For me, he gets a grade of an A so far. Now he’s graduated from cleaning house and resetting into building around the new foundation. He will be regraded with how he does with that, but I’m quite optimistic given how well he has done so far IMO.
  3. I’ve never lost my S**T more than when we took Ngata over Whitney. Then like a beaten and abused spouse, I found a way rationalize and justify this horror of the Whitner choice as if it was a bigger need and made sense. I will never forget this pick. My Aunt had just passed away and I was at her house starting to clean it out with my Grandma, brother and step mom. Had the draft on while we worked in giddy anticipation of our pick as a distraction to what we were doing. I was all jacked to grab literally the most obvious draft choice ever in Ngata. Then the pick comes in and A LOT of swearing would follow. HONORAY MENTION: Russel Wilson falling in our lap (more than once) and not drafting him. I couldn’t believe it. I won’t even mention who we drafted as it’s such an insult to Wilson it should never be spoke of again.
  4. This comparison is so bad that even though I already commented I felt like I needed to double dip. This way of comparison is as silly as saying that the player I most compare too in basketball is James Harden because we are the same height and both have a beard. Especially since even Harden knows he couldn’t hold on my jock on the basketball court.
  5. Outside of Zay, none of those guys were brought in to fix our WR situation. Jordan was a value throw (who is solid, but got hurt here) and KB was only traded for because we were challenging late in the season for a playoff spot. Had we not been in position to make the playoffs, that trade has zero percent chance of happening. But there are not WRs lying around midseason that can help you get to the playoffs. And even with KB being a bust this year and hurt a lot last year, we made the playoffs because of that trade considering he helped win us the snow game which we had to win to make the playoffs. I know you said you kid, but others freak out and say they cant evaluate WR talent because of some "bodies" they mostly brought in just to field a roster. This is the year they will focus now on rebuilding the WR group and we will then know what they can do.
  6. Well that would need to happen soon, we are taking about FA that’s coming up next month. So yeah, I agree it could be something that happens, but for Washington to afford to spend big on a QB in FA this would all have to be known and happen in the next 30 days. And so far there is no signs or indication Alex Smith is about to retire. They aren’t even sure he will have to miss the 2019 season yet. His season is in jeopardy, but it’s not for sure he will all of it, part of it, or none of it.
  7. They cant afford to overpay, still owe Alex Smith a ton of money too. He wont be a Redskin IMO. Most likely landing spots are likely Jax or Mia in my opinion. Denver could be a dark horse.
  8. BIG NO. This guy is more fragile than Kolb was, the last thing we need to do is tie up a roster spot for a guy who is a walking accident waiting to happen and who cant catch when healthy. Waste of a roster space IMO.
  9. Seriously...it’s a game, seasons over. I’m gonna suggest some hobbies to help deflect and release some of this self inflicted pain and misery. It’s Tuesday, I already could care less about the Super Bowl, the Pats, whose talking about what...it’s over. Pats won, who really cares anymore. Bring on FA, the combine, and the draft. GO BILLS.
  10. Like the idea of trading for Julio, but this scenario is all kinds of nope. 1. 0% chance we get both a 2nd this year and a first next year. Absolute best case scenario is a 2nd and a 3rd/4th this year, and it’s most likely just a second. Washington is in a bad spot, so may over pay, but no way it includes a 2020 first. 2. Julio Jones may not even fetch a first if traded, let alone and 2nd and a first round pick. And if by some miracle we got that much from a trade down, then no way we should use it on Julio. I would send Atl out 2nd and AT MOST throw in another pick this year like onenof our 4ths. With Julio’s age, contract, and injury risk...he’s not going to get some mega trade value. People keep over estimating these things. So to answer your qiestion, no way would I trade a first and a second for Julio, especially in this very deep and rich draft at WR.
  11. Last years final four teams were ranked 1, 2, 4 and 5 in points allowed per game. Your own argument isn’t holding water still. Lets add in the top 2 offenses of all time Broncos and Pats both lost the SB to defensive teams and were outsourced a combine 58-21. Top 5 offenses in NFL history, zero super bowl wins and only 3 reached it. Not to mention this year, high powered Rams scored 3 points. Most prolific passing game in SB history...Brady last year with over 500 yards. Still Lost. I could go on and on, but you and I both know it won’t matter.
  12. Well considering our division isn’t who they are beating in playoffs and Super Bowls the answer is obviously a resounding YES
  13. Its both. Doesn’t mean they won’t keep getting better, but it’s both. Funny all year I got flamed by people for the following statements: 1. McVay needs to win something before being crowned the next king. 2. Goff isn’t as good as the stats suggest, he doesn’t handle pressure well at all. 3. Defense still matters. 4. Pats demise is over exaggerated and they are still the Pats until proven otherwise. 5. Belichick is a defensive genius. Still can’t believe how many people argued he’s an offensive HC now when they were trying to prove defense is dead. All of that was served up on a platter yesterday for a lot of people. Funny, I seriously doubt that any of them change their mind and probably still dispute all of the above even now.
  14. So a close game where every play matters is more boring than lopsided blowouts? How anyone can be a fan of football and think that a game never more than one score apart is boring compared to a game that’s over half way through the game and meaningless rest of way is always puzzling to me.
  15. Geezus, enough alread about this Saints stuff. Saints screwed themselves. They lost the game on the dumb decision to pass on first down that went incomplete on that same drive. Worst decision possible, and they win that game if they run on first down instead and PI play never happens. Second BOTH the Saints offense and defense saw the field in OT and failed to do their job and lost the game. Not to mention there was missed offensive holding, bad holding, on the same PI play that should have been off setting penalties. Enough about this one play, Saints lost the game on many plays. And they should have been called for holding on the PI play anyway.
  16. Don’t underestimate how much Rams like Anderson and how much of this was poor game plan and coaching. Rams have already said its a top priority to bring Anderson back. I think they got enamored with incorporating Anderson into it and it’s taken Gurley out too much and kept him from getting a rhythm, so they kept sharing carries as a result which kept compounding the problem. I also think it had to do with pass pass protection as well trying to get Goff more time as he hasn’t been the same since the Bears showed if you rattle him he will fold.
  17. PS: For the last time, Saints screwed themselves. They lost the game on the dumb decision to pass on first down that went incomplete on that same drive. Worst decision ever.
  18. Haha OMG, So now we have a new narrative on why Saints got hosed? Last 2 weeks it was because the NFL wanted Rams to win SB to sell tickets. Now it’s because the NFL knew Goff would choke and it would help Pats win? Oh man, some of you need better hobbies to distract you from all these conspiracy theories lol
  19. Except it’s happened a LOT more than that over the last decade. Pats this year along with Broncos, Seahawks, Giants twice, and Ravens..and that’s just off the top of my head. That’s not how you gauge this at all. For example, the 2013 Broncos set all the NFL scoring records and then got blown out 41-8 by defensive monster Seahawks. You’re counting that as if offense was more important and not the fact that the Legion of Boom shut down the greatest offense in NFL history allowing just 8 points. You guys are inaccurately presenting your “facts” and miscrediting things as a result.
  20. LMAO at people taking this way to seriously and making more of it than it is. Lose - Lose for Josh? Haha come on, no gives 2 s**ts about the outcome of this, but some of you act like it’s going to haunt someone lol. Its a silly and fun exhibiiton between two young QBs. Stop making a big deal out of nothing. It’s like people can’t help but make everything negative and mole hills into mountains. Love this, love Josh and love Mahomes is into it. This would be fun. And no one other than Bills fans who want to wallow in negativity are going to care about the outcome a week later.
  21. You say you would love to be proven wrong...while advocating to deprive him of the opportunity to do so. Do you see the irony in that?
