  1. What’s even better is that this draft is deep at the top on defense. So that means QBs will slide to our pick too most likely putting us in a really good spot for teams (like Washington) to move up and get their QB without giving up an RG3 or Wentz like Bounty. So I think we will potentially have a lot of interest in our pick, and as I sit here now I think there is a strong chance we trade with Washington.
  2. In fairness...one played his whole career with a HOF QB, the other mostly had his career wasted by an inept organization. I saw them both play, and I think Moulds has a HOF resume too if had played his whole career with a Jim Kelly in his prime. Moulds skill set I think translates a little better today, although I love Reed and have no issue with someone taking him either.
  3. Staying at 9 and trading back into the first is certainly a possibility as we already know Beane isn’t afraid to make moves to get guys they covet. However, I think the potential Washington trade down is a more likely possibility where we add some more assets as I expect Washington to go after a QB. And with a defensive heavy draft, our slot could be a great fit for them and also not break the bank like trading up for RG3 did. Wouldnt surprise me to see Beane trade down to 15 picking up more draft assets like a 2nd and maybe a 3rd or 4th, then try making a splash trade for someone like Brown or Julio and still having plenty of draft assets to filll out roster needs. Thats what is so exciting about Beane, nothing is off the table and will be fun seeing this all unfold through out the offseason.
  4. Interesting as I would have thought Rueben Brown would be the next OL taken after Hull given how bad our guards and interior line is.
  5. Very much agree, however I think Moulds strength and size to go with speed edges out Evans. But I do think Evans is one of the most underrated Bills all time who had hands and elite speed and was a great route runner too. His career was wasted here with the train wrecks he had to catch passes from.
  6. He was literally one of my top choices too! Originally had him in original post as a dark horse pick, but didn’t want to influence other decisions after I already picked Thurman. Here is what I originally had in OP: Dark Horse: WR is clearly a need, so Reed would be an obvious choice too. However I think Moulds might be a slightly better fit for this offense and modern game. I think he’s also puts up a HOF career as a WR had he played with Kelly his whole career too. Love Reed, but think Moulds combo of size and speed would be excellent with Allen
  7. If you could choose any one non QB player in Buffalo history to put on this rising Buffalo team with Allen at the helm, who would it be? Tough choices, but I think I would go with Thurman, as he would be an immediate benefit in both the run and pass game around Allen.
  8. As I said already, I certainly agree with this and think it’s pretty accurate. That beind said, it makes me wonder what Mayocks personal board looked like in comparison to the Raiders existing board when he got hired. Wonder how close or wide apart they were, be interesting to see them side by side. Raiders and Gruden already had an “interesting” first draft and trade shakeups last year. So will be a fun and interesting story line to see how Gruden and Mayock handle this draft and all those premium picks.
  9. Honestly, you are not really wrong. However, I do think in this case it’s more to do with Kiper who is just a hard guy to like and so frequently wrong that brings out more criticism. He’s the Stephen A Smith or the Skip Bayless of mock drafts. For instance, you won’t likely see as much dislike on a mock or draft opinion from someone like Mayock. And part of any discussion about an “opinion” is also where said opinion originated from. So being critical of the source seems to be a fair part to a discussion of said opinion. All good though.
  10. I would love to really address the OL in free agency and I do think thats the plan. And a trade down with Washigton is the ideal scenario because it’s a safe zone to get a WR still as the teams 10-14 are not likely to draft a WR with the current makeup’s of their teams.
  11. I wonder if people are going to “remember” some of the following when Allen is crushing it and Bills are winning a lot: 1. Their “Wrong Josh” outburts and meltdowns. 2. Fire McD decelerations on the grounds he’s not from an offensive background. 3. Fire Beane because they fixed our D and our offense wasn’t good the first half of Allen’s rookie year, especially when Allen was hurt. 4. We are doomed for not hiring Lynn or Reich. 5. Josh is already a bust and always will be. GO BILLS.
  12. I slightly disagree, I think Harry right now is worthy of the 9th pick and Metcalf will be too with a strong combine. The only knock on Harry is he doesn’t have elite speed, but neither does Hopkins for instance. Harry is fast, and fast enough to be a #1 WR to go along with incredible hands and ball skills. I get Harry isn’t listed now in most top 10 rankings due to the strength of the D prospects, but IMO that doesn’t automatically mean he isn’t worthy of being selected 9th. In plenty of drafts he would be listed as a top 10 prospect. Each draft has its own makeup, so for me, his talent is worthy of that spot and doesn’t make him less of a prospect if we take him at 9 instead of 15 for instance. However, I do strongly agree with you on the trade down and love the idea of swapping with Washington, especially if we get that much to do so. This is because no one picking 10-14 will likely be drafting a WR, so at 15 we should have our pick of the WRs still unless someone traded up to get ahead of us.
  13. My prediction post combine: One WR will be listed on many teams top 10 boards. And it will likely be one or the other of Metcalf or Harry. And could be both, meaning some teams have one or the other if both show well at the combine. Metcalf will be able to remind people of the total package he is and Harry, who is already regarded by many as the best WR in college football, will be able to show he’s faster than he’s getting credit for.
  14. I fully expect him to retire and would be surprised if he didnt. He’s battled a lot of injuries and been very open about the physical challenges of this season. He’s got a lot of money and a lot of other things going on outside of football. We hate him as Bills fans, especially after last years dirty hit, but he’s mostly seen as charismatic and likeable elsewhere, so sure he’s got lots of opportunities off the field. And he should be done, he has nothing more to prove or play for other than love of game. But he’s getting to the point where continuing could really impact his long term quality of life the way his body is going. I won’t miss him torching us either.
  15. Lol, says the guy on an internet message board complaining about (non public figures) posters comments Ya know, it’s possible to live a great life and also have opinions right? All good...live your life as will the rest of us. I am blessed with one I particularly love as well. Doesn’t make me think Kiper is good at what he does though
  16. Maybe we should ask society why we make morons with no intelligence, skills or abilities into celebrities and Presidents
  17. Except there is a good chance we still won’t draft one from that list. Several likely draft prospects for us not on that list. Like Greedy, Harry, etc. All good
  18. I get that, but Kiper is also especially bad at that and even worse this early in the process. He’s a blow hard who pushes his ideas that are almost always wrong. Case in point, two guys he had is taking went 30th and 5th round. And while Hurst going 5th round due to a medical issue discovered during combine is a rare occurrence that made the discrepancy so big, it’s also evidence of why pre combine mocks have little reliable info. I will also admit I find anything from Kiper as worthless, so I have a negative biased about anything he says out the gate. He’s a blow hard who is wrong like 95% of the time on everyone and everything but gets paid a ton to keep blowing, hard. Lol
  19. Yet several players we quite possibly coukd draft if we stay at 9 are not on the list. Again, I don’t see the point in adding guys like Bosa to a list. Wouldnt making a list of 9 guys who could at least be on the board be a more effective exercise? Not to mention the draft will never go in the order of the “best players” lists.
  20. Eric Moulds. HOF talent but played on the wrong teams. Should have had a bigger career had he played with better teams. Fred Jackson. They never committed to him as a feature back and he should have been. Instead we TWICE drafted a FIRST round RB with a young Fred on the roster. And the second time we did that, we also had the previous first round RB (a likely HOF RB too) Lynch still here along with Fred. Lee Evans. Another wasted talent at WR while playing with train wrecks at QB. Honorable Mention: Marcus Easley. This kid had a bad luck start to his career with a heart condition and also breaking his leg costing him his first 2 seasons. He was the best ST player we have had probably since Tasker, and in preseason he would show up and display that speed and size as a WR too but never be given the chance to play WE during the season. Always felt he needed more opportunities as a WR but his early career setbacks buried him on depth chart.
  21. Isn’t that kind of the point though on why a mock right now is mostly worthless?
  22. Why is Solomon getting traded to the Steelers? I don’t see that ever happening. Brown is not going to fetch that much, especially in this deep WR class. That’s last years 3rd overall pick and a 2nd rounder. I won’t say never, but I can’t see anyone giving that much up for a 30 year old WR, even one as good as Brown. Plus Steelers have little leverage here. There are too many variables in this whole mock, free agency, and trades that I can’t even put much thought into this Bills pick. But I would say N’Keal Harry or DK Metcalf.
