Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats
finn replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
His whinefest might be good news for the Bills, long term, because it suggests that he might not be such a good coach after all. What kind of message does that send to your team about losing, especially after blowing a 21-0 lead that is at least partly his own fault? Blame the refs! How about the weather, too, while you're at it, Mike? No need for self-analysis, course correction. It was all someone else's fault I say let him whine. Encourage him, in fact. The more he does so, the less likely the Patriots will succeed. -
Another question is Steelers Fins tonight. Miami will not be fighting for a playoff spot no matter what in week 18. Steelers loss gets Bills closer to a playoff lock. Steelers win lowers Ravens chance to get in....This is a tough one since the possibility of travelling to Baltimore still exists if they win the division. I definitely don't want the Ravens in the playoffs now that they are healthy.. Ravens: Patriots Packers Steelers Steelers: Miami Detroit Browns Ravens

Who doesn't gain weight during the football season + holidays? You might be eating and drinking more- assuming you drink watching football, eat and drink attending holiday parties, etc. You might be burning less calories. Most of the calories you burn in a day come from Non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT)- this is all the random stuff you do during the day- walking, fidgeting, etc. If you're eating and drinking the same, then your NEAT is down- probably due to cold weather making you sluggish, making you go outside and walk around less, less daylight causing shorter days with less activity, and other factors specific to you. It's gotta be one or both. Either more calories in, or less calories out. I'd be willing to bet it's both: You're eating more seasonal calories, and your NEAT is down, which are both super common for the time of year.

Debate Over: Drake Maye can’t hold Josh Allen’s jockstrap
The Wiz replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even as a bills fan I can say you are wrong. Maye has IT. They are going to be a problem. I don't care what their schedule is but that's something to see in the future if they play a stronger schedule. He's had plenty of strong games but finally had to have a "comeback" game and that's when he started to panic. As a 2nd year player, I'm not surprised that he couldn't handle that pressure. He will grow and learn from it and unfortunately, likely get better. Honestly hope he goes the Stroud route and turns into a pumpkin but they have so much money available to help him out and he'll likely even out instead of riding high for most of the season. -
It makes zero sense that an offense scoring 35 points in a game is very good and a defense allowing 200 yards rushing and 31 points is quite bad?

@PatsFanNH what's your take today? And come back Friday and see if you're the same. Curious the rebound on the fans for this one.

I have as many INTs in the NFL this year as the entire Jets team

Although he and I are on different sides of the political spectrum, I gained huge respect for the man for the way he reacted to the murder of Charlie Kirk. RIP Mr. and Mrs. Reiner.
-
The Dolphins beat the Bills why not the Pats too? That's why they play the games right? The Jets... probably not happening.

Have you ever done drugs (hypothetically and only saying that if you did what it might have been like which is not incriminating in any court case since I know you volunteer at orphanages and help feed the homeless and saved puppies from a fire)...? I have some addiction type traits but have never been addicted to anything I couldn't quit. I smoked very shortly. I finally tried a THC drink for science and didn't feel a damn thing until I did 15mg in an hour. I'm also weird with medicine. Maybe I'm half ginger. My point being - it's hard for me to have empathy on addiction when I have no understanding of it and even those who do can't claim much since it's a monster.

Debate Over: Drake Maye can’t hold Josh Allen’s jockstrap
tigerthelion replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have changed my mind on who has been better "this season" now. I had Maye ahead, slightly, before this game. Josh Allen has played better than Drake Maye this season. What he has done over the past two weeks especially, has put him ahead in my mind. I just can't look past what Josh has done, putting the team on his back. He has four herculean efforts this year, at least, grabbing victory from the jaws of defeat. The performances against Baltimore (with a full, healthy lineup), KC, Cincinatti and New England were phenomenal. Even with a few clunkers this year, the good far outweighs the bad. He creates on his own far more than Maye. Maye is pretty darn good, but I can't in good conscience put him ahead even for this year alone. -

He’s got to be kidding. I don’t doubt there could’ve been holds called on the Bills. I saw tons of Patriots mugging our defenders at the line also. My take is zebras were just going to let them play unless there was a flagrant hold that had a real impact on the game. -
When I last checked the NFL Network TV schedule it just says NFL FOOTBALL for 8:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday night as it didn't give a specific game yet. If not later today/tonight, then by tomorrow morning for sure it will be announced... Along with the Bills and Pats I would guess the Packers and Broncos gets replayed as well.

AJ Epenesa has twice as many picks as the entire Jets team.

McDermott still in over his head
hondo in seattle replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall
My word choice may have been poor. I certainly didn't mean to say we don't have any good players besides Allen. We have a mix of good, mediocre, and bad players outside Allen. In other words, our non-QB roster is a lot like other teams and certainly worse than some. Beane hit a homerun with Allen and that can't be ignored. But if I ignore it anyway just as an exercise, he hasn't been an elite GM - the kind that builds SB rosters. -

They also apparently forgot about the 1st match-up we had w/ them, which was fairly one-sided in their favor. -

Here's another one that should have wiped out Henderson's 2nd half TD: And I don't complain about missed calls like this, it happens to every team in every game. The officials are only human after all. But it's ridiculous to try and act like there was bias shown towards either team. -
Trump’s Rob Reiner Post
The Frankish Reich replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is just wonderful for someone who grew up watching these guys - Rob Reiner and Albert Brooks, high school buddies. (True: Albert Brooks's original name was ... Albert Einstein.) I always thought Brooks was the edgier/funnier comedian/writer, but as I got older some of the contrasting sweetness of Reiner's movies started to grow on me. Both great American comics; I don't know how much of it translates to other cultures. What an awful end to a 65 year friendship. -
