I’m not questioning his talent. I just didn’t remember him for the prolific touchdown production.

Yeah, Marcus saw the goal line in 3 dimensions while defenders were working just 2. He was the same player in college and he was incredible to watch when his team was within a couple yards. A great RB and even better goal line expert- and a great guy to Bills fans that lived near him in Brentwood!

Lost in the noise - Chiefs 0-2 for the first time in the Mahomes era

You pretty much nailed it. There’s an incredibly fine line between winning and losing in the NFL. They’ve been a team that’s made the play when the game was on the line for years, and so far this year they haven’t. I don’t see some fatal flaw in the team, but I’m not sure I see the next wave of superstars either. I’ll reserve judgement until Rice comes back and hope they find a way to get there at 3-3. The biggest reason for concern is that there has been a lack of difference-making draft picks since 2022. Drafting at the bottom of the round for years catches up with you eventually. It’s not enough to simply out-perform your draft slot. If your goal is to win championships, you’ve got to do that and still get lucky. Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy were great picks with star upside, but there hasn’t been enough production around them to backfill the outflow of talent via free agency and Father Time. The flipside of that is Josh Simmons. If you had told Reid and Veach that he’d be 100% healthy and gave them the first overall pick in the draft, that’s who they would have taken. So far (and that term is carrying a ton of weight), he’s been completely healthy. What’s more is he’s been everything we hoped he’d be and then some. Injuries notwithstanding, he’s a franchise LT right now. The early returns of the rest of the draft look promising, but I’m nowhere near ready to say that they’re ready to take the torch. All that said, January is an eternity from now in football years, and I haven’t seen anything in the past 2 weeks that tells me they won’t be a factor when the playoffs come around. Any team that thinks they’re going to win the AFC had better plan on knocking out Kansas City along the way. -

I think the script gets flipped with the Chiefs this year. They win in season and we eliminate them in the post season. And I would be fine with that scenario. -

What’s good, gents? What’s good? YE OLE is sitting at the airport waiting to fly home from “high level business meetings” and upon clicking this thread, Mr Brightside started playing simultaneously throughout the airport. Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” came on next… FACT -

Question: In order to save time, would you allow people to only watch 2 games if one of them was the Browns 6-3 game?

So, you think he should play about 7 snaps a game or less? What would you consider to be the appropriate snap count for Bosa?

Different philosophy in team building dictated by what you have in QB. Tua is a tier 2 level QB with unique set of passing skills. So you need talent like Hill and Waddle to complement - that's why I appreciate McDaniels recognition of what it needs for the offense to succeed with Tua (remember Tua was on the brink of a bust before McDaniels arrival in Miami), and truthfully, I'd love to hear what his take on what he thinks is the best complement for Josh Allen if we ever have a chace to hire him as any kind of assistant. But the price to pay for that is you sacrifice somewhere else, in this case the O-Line for the Dolphins. They never have the resources to get Tua the protection he really needs. Beane and McDermott decided to put offensive line above everything else for Allen. It helps to protect the franchise as well as paving the way for getting a complement running attack. Honestly we have more than capable running attack in Cook now, manifested by his contract status, which may not be Beane and McDermott's original plan. The downside is we are not going to be able to afford a DK Metcalf kind of contract ($150 million 5 years) for receivers. At the end of the day, when both teams are playing well, better talent overall wins. That was the case against Dolphins in Josh Allen era overall with occasional outliers due to weather, bounce of the ball etc. The talent gap looks to be widened in early 2025 season. -

Parsons traded to Green Bay, given $188 million contract
Buffalo Junction replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gary and McKinney are locked up for three years. Jenkins is interesting as he doesn’t have much guaranteed money left on the next two years, but changed positions to center. Could be a restructure option. The Packers are also one of the youngest teams in the league, and are one of the best draft and develop teams in the NFL… especially at WR and OL. Trading for Parsons wasn’t an all in move for this season; it was a push for the next three years. We will know in February 2028 if it was a worthwhile move.
