  1. Past hour
  2. There is a line by George Carlin about the general public and the least intelligent person we know that this thread reminds me of...like Triumph...I kid, I kid. We should give this guy a break though. This team has sucked the fun out of game day and he's struggling like the rest of us.
  3. McDermott has fixed the 3rd down defense since assuming playcalling. Through the Falcons game with Babich calling things (I think they swapped at half time but let's just count that game as him - it got better after half but I'll give Babich the benefit of the doubt) the Bills 3rd down D was giving up 40.8% - which over the season would be good for 23rd in the NFL. Since then with McDermott calling things the 3rd down D is running at 34.2% - which over the season would be good for 4th in the entire NFL after Denver, Chicago and Houston. He has also fixed the miscommunications pre-snap. Took him a couple of games and they had to use time outs to fix some in the Kansas City game, but since then, better. They were the two things I said he woild fix. And he has. The rest - including the run D - I just don't think that is a coaching fix. Last night in that first half the Bills had the right calls on all but 1 run. They had a guy in the right gap. And they couldn't make a play. Do I have some sympathy with bench Taron and bench Bernard? Sure. But fundamentally players just have to make plays. Whoever said it (I think it was @Kirby Jackson) a couple of week ago about the D was spot on. They are between eras. They have 4 or 5 first or second year guys with some promise but they also still have 4 guys starting from the 2018 defense plus Jones up front who are past their best. The only prime age starters are Groot, Bernard and Benford and two of those are looking like bad contracts for sure.
  4. That's not likely to be the bonus it is most years. Looking at the schedule, the variable games are against the: AFC NORTH, AFC SOUTH, and NFC WEST. As of right now that would lead to- Patriots: Steelers, Colts, Rams Bills: Ravens, Jags or Texans, Seahawks I could see the Ravens/Steelers flip flopping spots by the end of the year.
  5. So rare and not impactful that it happened in the Olympics. In boxing. Very fair. - teef
  6. I think McDermott is a good head coach. If we fire him I think he has another job quick. He is a better defensive coach then people give him credit for. Beane has handed him a pile of garbage to try and win with this year. With all of that said, with Josh on the verge of turning 30, its time to see what a different regime can get out of him. The team feels old and out of juice. Need some new blood in the organization to see if they can jumpstart it. It could very well be worse but not doing anything feels negligent.
  7. Yeah seemed that way. I dont Houston got a single defensive pass penalty (prob partly due to them not needing to hold our WRs...but still)
  8. I don't know that we got beat by any of those QBs. Miami ended up putting up points at the end on the ground, but that is the big risk of being forced to sell out to prevent any first downs. If they break through, they're gone. The common denominator in all of our losses this year is turnovers plus a failure of the offense to step up to the plate and overcome them.
  9. Always laughed throughout my working life when they would take a guy with bad attendance records into the office, and give him three days off. You want to punish him? Make him show up three days in a row. 😁
  10. You have another issues.... A owner who is a clueless *****. Everything that man touches turns to crap with his OneBuffalo bull crap. Its all done man, Josh will go down as the biggest waste to our already horrid history. But hey, our AFC East trophy case will be great looking!
  11. I'm ready for a fresh cleanse. That includes McDermott, Brady and Beane. There's enough blame to go around
  12. Bring Daboll back today. See if he can help save this season. I don’t care who gets uncomfortable from it. ***** every coach on this payroll. Idgaf if they don’t like it
  13. we lost to their defenses
  14. Brady was hired as a YES man to a Narcissistic Coach who micromanages. That being said Brady has documented history on his failures as an O Coordinator in Carolina. The fans there wrote exactly as what we Bills fans are saying in 2025. This year can be salvaged. FIRE Brady today and hire Daboll. FIRE Beane at end of the season. Also, McDermott needs to stop asking God for favors. God knows who McDermott really is and DOESN'T have his back. Just look at eight years of shoulda woulda coulda.
  15. It's on both and Beane as well.
  16. Yeah… and you have Josh Allen on the sideline saying “WTF are we doing?” It’s evident he’s not happy with the play calling!!! Demeco Ryan’s has built a top tier unbelievable Defense and a solid offense in 3 years. McDermott and Beane are wasting time and killing this team. Not to mention the OC situation over the past 5 seasons
  17. I wasn't referring to the final drive. I was talking about the one earlier. If we took the FG on that one , the final drive would only need another FG to win the game
  18. does it strike you while typing that he can trust an elite guy but struggles at times with mediocre guys? Talent matters. We’ve given him little on the perimeter.
  19. It cannot. That's the realization I had.
  20. No, I'm a bit bummed we didn't win but it was an entertaining game against an amazing defense and we had a chance to take it at the end. We're 7-4 with good wildcard tiebreakers, so we're extremely likely to make it into the tournament, and from there, anything could happen. It's an extremely high-parity league, and "any given Sunday" is a phrase for a reason. Our O-line got rocked by an elite D-line and it made our lives very difficult on offense. It happens. The Texans' defense is 1 of 1 this season.
  21. Screams, and I mean screams, coaching/attitude.
  22. Brady again got pass happy in the second and third quarters and abandoned the run game. Cook averaged 6.8 yards per carry and only touched the ball 17 times. When your pass protection isn't working, implement the run game and force the Texans into the box. Not effective play calling
  23. the offense didn’t have the talent on the field to do what fans are clamoring for There are only so many ways to hero ball Josh-James with the defense not having to cover anything over the top or slow developing
