What always bugs me about this logic of going after the front office for not bringing in any players like this is both Peppers and Wilkens were released by meh teams for a reason. Honestly, I'd rather bring in a guy that knows our system than a player with a "name" who has flamed out in other environments. And Wilkens... do we really want whatever the heck is going on there in our organization? Dude's a train wreck. And we have drafted two promising players at his position who... don't have a weird groping and kissing fetish as far as we know. To be fair, I wouldn't be against Peppers and he didn't particularly flame out (there were some DV questions of which he was cleared, but don't think that had anything to do with his release). He's had a spotty career in relation to his draft stock, but he's been effective at some stops. That said, I don't think there's any certainty he would help our team, so I'm not particularly pointing fingers at the front office for not signing these players.

It was a great drive to get the FG in the first half, but they may still have won without it. If the rest of the game had played out the same, they would have had four shots at the end zone from inside the 10 on the final drive.

Yeah, as they were heading in for halftime I was thinking that was pretty big for them to get there there. Kept them in the game and they were able to go into halftime on a bit of a higher note. On another note, I thought it was over after the missed two point try (the one where Keon got mugged) and I thought, how poetic, the scriptwriters got into their bag for this one, the Ravens will win their revenge game the same way they lost the divisional game, a dropped two point try. But it was not to be. Old Man Prater to the rescue. Genuinely one of the greatest regular season games I've ever had the privilege of watching.

I said the same thing post game but they more i think- is there any doubt we wouldn't have gotten a TD on that final drive? You can argue Baltimore would've played different w and 18 point vs a 15 point lead but if everything worked out the same, we still win but nonetheless that was huge at the time

I'm sure there are a few decent ones around for some teams, but there is nothing else anywhere that even approaches the quality we're blessed with here.

And the only reason they had those :30 to work with was McDermotts aggressive use of timeouts when the Ravens still had the ball on the previous possession. I don't think most coaches would have had the stones to do that on first and second down outside the 10 yrd line with nearly 2:00 left in the half.

Sucks. I hope we dont regret this. Still believe he could have helped this team. Oh well.
