We do not do well against teams we are supposed to beat.
Haslett_Stomp replied to WhiskyBreath's topic in The Stadium Wall
^ this. McDermott basically said the team had overlooked Miami the week after that game. That is coaching. -
I'm in this camp. I like Sean. I think he blundered our best chances at a SB too though. Lately I place more of the blame on Beane. How many early draft picks can you whiff on? Those are the foundational pieces, and they're on rookie contracts. And all of the guys he didn't take when he had the chance..... We lack quality depth because of these errors, and commitments to guys that we don't even USE like Samuel and Palmer. Blow it up.

There's a good reason for this: we aren't as "good" of a roster as the media and fans think we are. We are only "supposed to beat" these teams because our MVP QB has made us look dominant, when we clearly are not a dominant-built roster by any stretch. Josh Allen has been masking the talent and coaching deficiencies on this team for years now. We are only even in the wild card conversation because of him, otherwise we'd be a doormat this year. -

11/20/2025 Bills @ Texans post game thread
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only times this defense has looked good was the panthers game and the second half of last night. Not coincidentally when Shaq Thompson was in for Bernard. Going forward this can be the difference in how our season ends. I trust the offense to get it fixed, the Defense being okay is the difference….Last night sucks. It suck’s to see a guy get hurt. I’m not a POS I never wanna see a guy get hurt. The turning point of this entire season is going to be Thompson and Milano being the LBs. That is the single most impactful event of the year for this team. It’s hard to see right now but that was a blessing in disguise -
I put a lot of this on brady. We just never adjusted to their pass rush, it felt like we were consistently trying to beat them in spread looks with mesh and crossers. Allen's first INT seemed to spook him on the spot routes in the middle, and too much stuff was happening way too far down the field with how quickly pressure was getting there. Houston never had to really adjust and essentially played a man under game with a spy on 3rd downs.

It’s wild to hear Beane talk about how good the Offense was LAST YEAR, when forecasting to THIS YEAR. Anyone with a brain could tell you it doesn’t work that way.

Really? 17 is looking at a posse of absolute ass WRs! They simply CANNOT separate to catch a football! 2025 Stats? And remember, the rest of the WRs in the league play their catchup game on Sunday. # 28 Shakir - helped greatly by the 4th & 27 desperation hook & ladder. #79 Keon Benchedman. #96 Josh, 18 catches in 8 games, Palmer. Paying him $11 ***** million in 2026 for that performance! #207 9 catches in 9 games- Moore! #239 SEVEN CATCHES IN SIX GAMES @ $9 Mill- Samuel! ABSOLUTE ASS! And this is ALL on, I know better than everyone on the planet- Beanbrain. The Bills didn’t need #10 WR Waddle! What a failed buffoon!

The brand has gone stale. Beane has mismanaged this roster criminally. It’s painfully obvious him and McDermott aren’t the ones to get this team a championship

You should take absolutely take everything from how he runs the Sabres. Everything about Terry’s sports management incompetence is wrapped up in the Sabres. Under his leadership they lost games on purpose in a sleazy attempt to get better draft choices. Those drafted players are all gone and most have won Cups on other teams. Terry is the reason that team is dead. Pray that he never gets too involved in football. BTW, Jack Eichel won a Stanley Cup, and is now a front runner for league MVP. Terry insisted that Eichel be traded and he used his injury as a reason. NHL veterans can have no trade clauses in their contracts, none of the best players will go to Buffalo.

When you have excellent defensive ends, it really frees up the interior. Scheme is also a big factor. If you watch our defense, there is essentially not a play call for the line. They rush 4 straight. The Texans were stunting, using safety blitzes, spying with one of the best MLBs in the league. The Tampa 2 is a crap defense that relies on individual guys making huge plays. We do not have the guys to make those plays.

Gotta agree with you Frankish, it's not a good look for Trump and the administration. It's like all politicians are crooks or something. -

55 gets a pass because its first time... paying 91 what we do, and having him miss so many games is f****n brutal. Im def at the point of a mini rebuild. People are going to hate some of it. Milano needs to go. Knox - dramatic paycut or release. Trade Kincaid if you can get a good return for him. Its suuuuuucks, but paying what hes going to get on free market, with his injury history is a trap. Look to move Oliver. Next season could be a bit rough, but we could end up with a nice draft haul from those few moves. Take our medicine on dead cap..... we can still sneak in as a dangerous Wild Card. It wouldnt effect us the way youd think with them hurt as much as they are.... were already at a mini rock bottom without them on team right now, so I cant see it costing us many/any games.... hopefully get some juice from 2026 class to help offset it. Then we can REALLY open up the window in 2027.... I dont at all believe this would cause 2026 to be a season we punt off and commit to losing or anything, we'd have a similar ceiling to what we have now... but healthy, and extra talent from draft returns

Found Beane's lurker account. -
Doesn't really matter what we think, it's what happens usually. Allen ignites to another level during that time usually. In the 13 seconds season, Allen has the best 2 playoff games combined in NFL history in one post-season. The weeks before that were bad a lot of the time and they really struggled offensively a lot.

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play
BuffaloBillyG replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's if Knox even catches it, right? He was wide open and those are the ones he drops. -
And that's why we gotta stop the bleeding here and now. More years of this is just not good.
