While I do think ideally they don't have to play Poyer, I do believe that unlike Hyde - Poyer has the potential to play if there's injuries. Unlike Hyde, Poyer is here in the building before Week 1. If this were just a "potentially get him a ring" thing like Hyde - I think they would have waited until later like we did with Hyde. The main reason that Hyde didn't see the field, in my opinion, was his health. He was said to have had multiple recurring stingers in 2023 after returning from his Neck injury. I think he and the NFL as a whole realized his Neck wouldn't allow him to play after that. Poyer doesn't have health issues. Also, last year, we had multiple veteran Safety's on the Practice Squad in Kareem Jackson and Lewis Cine that they could play instead of Hyde. This Practice Squad, however, only has Poyer and Sam Franklin - who is much more of a Special Teams player than he is an NFL Safety. So again, I think ideally the Safety room stays healthy and they get production from the depth chart. But if there are injuries and we need to promote a Safety, unlike Hyde - I believe they wouldn't hesitate to call up Jordan Poyer.

Playoff record, rule changes and the Bills

Does stopping at 2010 vs say 2000 change the percentages? -
Agreed...I'm hoping preseason was just a mirage and everything just corrects itself. I feel the offense will be fine, but will take a few game to shake off the rust. The only way this team makes it back to the AFCG is if injuries are at a minimum. The defensive backfield gives me the heebie-jeebies. The defense without injuries will easily give up 25-30 points per game.

After reading this thread, you only have 2 choices. Eat the casserole Remove all of Draconator's warning points. Your choice. Choose wisely. Speaking in the 3rd person because I'm sober after doing yard work in the dark.

With respect, I think it is far fetched. Because if another team agreed, they'd sign that guy to their 53 and let them compete for the starting job.

Improved Coleman Josh Palmer might be better than cooper Rookie DT’s had excellent camp and preseason healthy and motivated Milano Joey Bias as a pass rusher Hoecht as a pass rusher Nielson as DL coach Tabor as ST coach Worries injuries during Stacy and PS - a ton of missed practices safety and CB are untested is Kincaid ready to take the next step in year 3 Will Johnson come back from a poor season

I saw a few post on some of points below and I wanted to put some things together. #1 Josh Allen is the only QB with 6+ playoff wins and no SB appearance #2 Josh Allen is 7-6 in the playoffs. McD is 7-7. both of these stats are kind of interesting to me. Mostly in the context of the rule change in 2020, expanding the playoff field to 7 and eliminating the bye week for the #2 seed. Under the pre-2020 rules, the Bills would have a bye week in 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024. thats 4 extra playoff games (all wins) against teams that would not have qualified for playoffs prior to 2020. So under the old pre-2020 rules: Josh Allen would be 3-6 in the postseason. Sean McDermott would be 3-7. Here’s another stat. Since the rule changes, only ONE two seed has made the Super Bowl. And that was this season in the Eagles. from 2010-2019, a two seed made the Super Bowl 5 times, good for 50%. So, major points. Has the 2020 rule change helped the PERCEPTION of the Bills playoff success with an inflated win total, but in reality, actually damaged their actual chance of playoff success by eliminating such an advantage?

He’s running a football team that he prides on being a family. I’m good with it. I believe the team will benefit more from having Poyer, Phillips and Dane Jackson as the 13th-16th players the practice squad than players that they deem lesser than Latu, Logue and Travis clayton and Hardy. Anyone think any of those 4 guys will have any positive plays for the Bills this season? Win the Super Bowl. I don’t see why anyone would complain about bringing Poyer in as the 16th guy on the PS on this team. It’s mind boggling tbh.

I have no idea what to make of this team. Either I didnt pay enough attention or the training camp and pre-season coverage of the team left a lot to be desired. I feel like they could win 12 games or start to lose traction in the AFC. I am very interested to see what they look like week 1 because I've heard next to nothing about the starting offense or defense aside from Keon and the injuries at CB.

That’s fair, but this isn’t a case of “those who can’t criticize those who can”. It’s just musical taste being very subjective. As a music nerd it bums me out that Swift is seen as the pinnacle of musical talent in 2025.

What is better, no guns, or more guns?

Empirically some liberals are very pro murder of unborn children, They are pro release of murderers into the public, cheer violence ala Cincinnati and they cheer murderers like Luigi. The only comparable bad of my side is being pro death penalty for heinous criminals, which to compare the killing of a horrible person and an innocent person is insane. -
One of the two will be in the PS if they can’t join any of the other 31 53-man roster.

Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
Buffalo716 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Andy Reid had the same exact label and now he's a three-time super bowl winning coach considered the best right now lol Mahomes has for 4 out of the last 5 years had a defense that finished top 10 in points against lol Five out of 7 years as a top 10 scoring defense that's kind of the opposite of mediocre or bad lol And his defenses have been healthy unlike the bills in the postseason -

The only ideology these monsters have is hate with mental illness and access to guns. Thank God we have our 2nd Amendment rights. It has to be this way and nothing will change forever and ever… -

Allen is the better QB. Mahomes has the better team, coach and therefore rings. It’s pretty much that simple. -
Coleman, Gilliam, and Bass guys I don't think have been on once.

Great testament to this culture .. One of, if not the best in the game, starts with 17 and McBeane

have a few fun black label shows under my belt honestly, I’d love to hear the reasoning on Hyde/poyer I don’t think Hyde was ever intended to play. I’m assuming same here. On a purely unemotional level - asst coaches and get a younger athlete prepared starting today I’m assuming it’s some family values angle that they take care of their own so buy into the system fully but even there… is poyer better off floating around on the practice squad or putting a coaching title on his resume? Seems teaching the man to fish by introducing his next career option would be totally appropriate
