He is setting the tone or expectation that every reffing crew should find at least one hold on the Bills or something is wrong - no example or particular situation - just a general, if no hold is called the refs did a poor job. They let a ton go both ways as far as OL penalties go in pretty much all playoff atmosphere games. vrabel is either dumb as rocks or knows this and is being disingenuous. Heck the guy was a dlineman playing in playoff games himself His OL was definitely coached up to grab facemasks/the helmet area and it was not called once. Very ‘pot meet kettle’ type situation here.. feels like a big part of the bills adjustments were ‘we know we’re gonna get held let’s just hang back in the passing lanes’ and i think that threw maye for a loop Edited 7 hours ago by Generic_Bills_Fan 1 Quote

Personally, I think Vrable is embarrassed by blowing a 21 point lead in a championship clinching game at home to his biggest rival is and lashing out to blame anyone but himself. In any case that is a horrible message to send to your team and shows a decided lack of leadership, which is really why they lost in the first place. I simply do not get the love for Mike Vrable as a head coach and never have. 1 2 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Who’s gonna tell him Bills had a holding call wipe out a TD? Then who’s gonna tell him Pats got a TD on a run thanks to the Pats holding? 2 1 Quote

It’s 100% not that though Quote

The day after a loss he is pointing the finger at the officials instead of at himself and his team for blowing a 21 point lead. And these weren't even particularly controversial calls. He is the NEW Meathead. (RIP Rob Reiner). F this guy. Quote
QLBillsFan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Coach V feeding into the embarrassment that is Boston media. The national media hold him on a pedestal but if McD said this he would be destroyed. The Bills had 3 bogus holds in game one perhaps that’s why they lead the league. A real soft mental look for this soon to be adorned coach of the year. Quote
HamptonBillsfan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Maybe Vrabel might consider the blown call and replay review blown call on the Boute catch, that handed the Pats their first TD. That put our team immediately under stress on the road.Every team has a give and take on holding and DPI calls. The inability to stop 5 straight TD drives and the failure to get a first down on the last drive in a must situation after the Bills went ahead 35-31 should be more frustrating to Mike. 1 Quote
Cray51 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Imagine leading a division and your defense allowed 5 straight TD drives… and you blame the refs instead of putting your head down and idk… coaching. this guy is such an imbecile 1 Quote

Typical Gillette stadium issue ... Didn't think he complained about that. Late in the 1H when the clock didn't start at :06 and that running play only took 4 seconds 1 Quote
bigK14094 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I thought the officiating was a little shaky, like almost all the games this year. The camera's are catching the refs missing calls in every game. I see it in games I watch not involving the Bills as well. Some really bad and not corrected by the closet team of officials. (wherever they are) The NFL has a problem. Quote
RochesterLifer Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I used to respect Vrabel, mistakenly thinking he was a strong coach who led tough teams. Now that I understand he is a whiny little girl, I will enjoy the Bills beating his candy-@$$ from now on. He is not the man I thought he was. Quote

This was a critical third and 3 on the drive into the half that they ended up getting 3 points out of. This was a direct violation of Rule 12 sections 1-2 illegal use of hands/facemask. watch the play....Lowe's lefthand goes right to groots face and pushes it up and he just leaves it there the whole time. Should have been third and thirteen. Funny how Vrable just missed this one! This missed call resulted directly in points for New England. He was getting away with it, seemingly on just about EVERY play!!! Vrabel/Cheats/NE can go eff themselves!!! Quote

It's like they completely forgot about that 20-year Brady era where they got every call, the refs made up rules DURING THE GAMES for them, and the numerous cheating scandals that surrounded them. They are the epitome of "just give it to 'em" Their ENTIRE "dynasty******" has more exposed taints than an avg day at a gynecologist's office They got away with murder, for years, and it's obvious that they expect the same "treatment" for Vrabel's tenure as they got during the Billycheat era F*CK THE CHEATRIOTS!!!! No replay assist on that play and McDermott did not challenge. Even the CBS ref analyst Gene Steratore said it shouldn't have been a catch. NE did a hurry up to get off next play. I’ll be honest… as a head coach, when I see the opposing offense hurrying to the line to the call the next play, am I thinking “they are up to something, but it’s a total mystery.” No, I sniff out the ‘tomfoolery’ and throw the challenge flag! Why the challenge flag didn’t come out instantly on Boutte’s catch, I’ll never understand. The Patriots were sounding the air raid siren that it wasn’t a catch. 1 1 Quote
Jimmy Harris 69 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Vrabel is playing politics with league officiating. Walking up to the line without actually criticizing. It’s a vet move. He knows they missed penalties on his team; gave them a free catch. It’s the long game for the next Bills-Pats meeting. 1 Quote
