muppy Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 I think it is fair to say that NFL officiating will never be perfect. Each team could post missed or questionable calls weekly do I wish they could be perfect? Of course. Is that possible? Nope. The game is too fast and eyes can't be everywhere . and mistakes are made so on a weekly basis I read of teams crying over it. for one reason or another. I've done it. so not holier that thou by any means so for me the bottom line is the NFL product is still the most entertaining skilled sports event. and I have to live with imperfection I will. ad also the hometown affiliation for me is Major. I am an NFL lifer. Quote

What kind of message does that send to your team about losing, especially after blowing a 21-0 lead that is at least partly his own fault? Blame the refs! How about the weather, too, while you're at it, Mike? No need for self-analysis, course correction. It was all someone else's fault I say let him whine. Encourage him, in fact. The more he does so, the less likely the Patriots will succeed. True colors start to show themselves when things aren't all going great. Am hoping Baltimore puts a beat down on them next week - then we'll prob see more excuses/whining from MeatHead, potentially an unhappy Diggs, and new golden boy QB with pressure he's never seen before going into the last two games 3 1 Quote
Bills aPHILLYate Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Here's hoping the refs catch wind of this unfair criticism around week 17 or 18 and give him a true reason to complain 3 1 Quote
mannc Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 No mention of refs’ blown call on Boutte’s 3rd and 7 “catch” that kept the Pats’ opening drive alive and handed NE 7 points…sure, McDermott should have challenged, but it was a blown call in NE’s favor that had a big impact on the game… Quote

As one player said, the tacit message was, "Is this who we are?" My respect level for McDermott went up when I read that. 2 Quote
Tulsabillsfanz Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Vrabel whines to officials all game, every game while he’s on the sidelines. His face has a constant pained whiny look. So, it’s no surprise he whines when he’s not on the sidelines. Quote
GASabresIUFan Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Let me see if I understand what happened yesterday. On a critical 3rd down NE got away with an obvious hands to the face. On a big TD in the 2nd half the officials missed a blatant holding. On a huge 3rd down catch in the 1st, the officials allowed a catch to stand without review that even the announcers thought was not a catch. Now add the mysterious time keeping at the end of the half that allowed NE to kick a field goal.......and NE is complaining about the officiating? Color me confused. I guess the Bellacheat era in NE will never end. What he should be complaining about is how badly his overrated team got manhandled by and aging, injury riddled Bills squad in the 2nd half. 3 2 1 Quote
Tulsabillsfanz Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 BTW, the obvious response to the whiny Vrabel is Josh Allen’s second half performance. Even when Josh had his big 3rd down, 4 yard TD run called back because of a holding call, Josh just came back on 3rd & 14 with a beautiful 14 yd TD pass. Bottom line is Josh & the Bills kicked your butt Vrabel. Quit whining and accept it. 1 1 Quote

Next drive, Cooks catch was immediately overturned by video assist. Kraft still runs his corrupt bully show the same way… 1 Quote
Special K Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 Vrabel and the Pats thought this was a changing of the guard game, but the Bills said: 1 Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 He seems to be fine with the bad catch on the first drive, the poor spotting on the ball when the "replay assist" got it wrong, and the terrible holding call to wipe out the TD run for Josh. The officials were bad yesterday both ways, and if his biggest complaint is the soft pass interference call then shut up, because it at least was not clearly wrong. 1 Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 (edited) Did he and Diego Pavia share a bottle of whine together? I mean jeez what do you hope to gain by not controlling yourself better than that! Edited December 15, 2025 by D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Quote
Steptide Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 It's pretty lame of vrabel to complain about officiating. If there's anything to complain about, how about the 21 point lead your team blew? I get it, the bills have been on the bad side of some calls and it can be infuriating. The Shakir dpi blows my mind though. When I watch that, it is text book dpi. Everyone in new England is saying the defender turned his head, but he didn't turn his head until a split second before the ball got there. The corner had no idea where the ball was. The Coleman dpi was pretty weak and I'll give them that, but we also got screwed in the 1st quarter with new England completing a catch that wasn't a completed catch. So, fair game imo Quote

zow2 Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 (edited) By the way, on Henderson's reverse field TD run, watch the endzone replay. #96 of the Bills had the front of his jersey held near the collar. It was only released when Trevyon reversed field and was too far away to grab. Obvious hold not called resulting directly in a Pats TD. Edited December 15, 2025 by zow2 1 Quote

Absolutely, and I'm sure all the chowderheads are gonna complain when he is. It's a well known fact, you can't do that as an NFL employee without financial repercussions. Quote

I complained relentlessly about the officiating crew in our first match up with the Patriots, because Shawn Hochuli consistently throws more flags on the Bills than any other crew, by a large margin. Complaining here about a lack of calls though is just silly. Point out the plays then. If you're going to come out and say crap like this, you better have the receipts. God I hope hochuli isn’t reffing our eagles game again. If I recall correctly, he swung about 30 points to the eagles against us a few years ago with bad calls. And it’s hard to win when the ref gives your opponent 30 points 1 Quote
