I was listening to Football 301 with Nate Tice and Matt Harmon today.  The show was about X factors for each AFC playoff contender.  They actually focused on one X factor on both sides of the Bills unlike any other team.  (On offense it was Kincaid).

Tice said the spine of our D and more specifically Shaq Thompson is our X factor on that side.  He brought up some interesting metrics/splits for when Shaq Thompson has been on the field in the last 4 games vs. when he's been off.  One half of what he brought up is obvious: our run D goes from dead last or about dead last in the league when he's off the field to about middle of the pack when he's on.  BUT... when Shaq is off the field our pass D (and specifically our explosive pass D) goes from one of the best defenses when he's off the field to one of the worst.  I'm pretty sure he said we've given up the most or 2nd most explosive pass plays in the NFL during the time he's been on the field.

I'm not pointing that out to say that I think Shaq should be taken off the field.  I don't.  I also think those numbers are probably really skewed by the Bengals game.  However, it's still an observation McDermott should probably consider in his schemes.

I was doing other stuff so I only listened to the Bengals game and it wasn't on TV around here anyway.  Just got a chance to watch the whole thing on NFL Network.

I would be curious how it would go with Milano out there as the only LB in the dime package on 3rd downs.  Thompson helps on 1st and 2nd down but we really have some issues on 3rd.  Our problem is probably mostly lack of pass rush, but I feel like Milano is our best LB in coverage.  Is it even possible because he doesn't have the green dot?

Maye reminds me a bit of Burrow. Just deadly accurate, strong arm and smart.

His ability to extend plays and make accurate throws on the run during our first game caught me off guard.  At first I thought/hoped it was a fluke, but then he did it multiple times.

Hopefully we don't let Diggs have another "best game of the year" type game this week and do a better job containing Maye to limit his hero plays.

He made a huge play late against Baltimore, and had just made a huge downfield catch early vs. Atlanta when he got hurt.  That was Week 6, man...how can you draw ANY conclusions about Palmer at this point when he hasn't been able to play?

Fair enough, but being available counts for something doesn’t it?

Sure it does, but it's not indicative of whether or not he can be a difference maker when playing.

If the Patriots win Sunday, their fans are gonna be insufferable

"Gonna be?"

I mean, they've been cartoon characters for many years now.  Cautionary tale for winning TOO much.

Based off the video seems Palmer is going to play.  Talking about being hurt and rehabbing all in past tense.  Palmer and Kincaid will add a big boost to the passing attack.

I feel neither nervous or overly confident about this game.  Just depends what Bills team shows up on gameday.

Pretty much this.

I’m SUPER F****** FIRED UP though!!

Its supposed to be 31 with a chance of up to 3 inches of snow sunday in Foxborough.  Could get a bunch of snow games in a row here with the way the schedule works out to end the season.

Believe me, I’d like nothing better than for you to be right.

Wow, only four limited and a personal day for Knox.  That's as good as this list has looked in a while.

And yes, I know it's a walkthrough but they list them based upon whether they could practice fully...

I'm on the fence nerves-wise for this game. I think, while the division is still a possibility, it is a pretty big longshot with only 4 games left. Winning obviously helps that and keeps us in a good spot for the playoffs. The biggest thing is, I would prefer NE not clinch the division against us. If they do it, do it another game ideally lol.

All that said, a loss is not the end of the world with our current record and the seedings and the schedules the other wild cards have to finish the year.

My reaction to Maye extending plays was damn he looks like a younger version Josh Allen. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thought this.

I'm fine with that. Allen seems to thrive in the snow.

I'm pretty much given up on the division. I'm focused on just getting in. Really want them playing well and getting healthy for the 1st round.

Pats play hard nosed aggressive football.  Not exactly our thing.  Need to fire on all cylinders and not let Diggs get 77 catches again.  CBS are playing better than earlier in the season.   Gonna be a great game!

my own theory is that snow games lead to fewer injuries. Everything is played a bit slower and the slipping and sliding around probably avoids some of the quick twitch and hard cut movements.
