I think the real issue is bigger than the Slay move. The complaining is a microcosm of Beane's roster construction, Cap nightmare, contract extensions, various acquisitions, etc...Its not just about one move. Hope that helps you understand the mindset of many frustrated Bills fans.

Has anyone mentioned how many teams passed on him before the Bills got him?  Had to be 25 or more. Clearly they all know better!  As soon as Slay gets here, there’s gonna be a dick painted in the snow on his lawn.

Believe it or not, I think the Bills are 3rd in returning/boomerang players.  The Rams have more than us and I can’t remember the other team.

Yea it sounds like the eagles would have liked a reunion.  They added Alexander a few weeks ago and that didn’t work out.  Slay was pretty damn good in Philly.

 

if nothing else he can give some insight into little things the eagles do on defense in a few weeks.

You guys all remember when Benford got knocked silly in KC last year and we didn’t have anybody else, right? 

 

An experienced six-time Pro Bowl CB with a SB ring literally dropped into our laps and we’re complaining?

 

He’s not going to see the field unless he has to, but I’d rather it be Darius Slay than Ja’Marcus Ingram or Dane Jackson in a spot like that.

And in terms of development, how lucky is Maxwell Hairston?  In his rookie year he gets to practice with and learn from Darius Slay, Tre White, and Christian Benford.

 

If he keeps his eyes and ears open, he’s going to really have a chance to be something else for us.
