If you are incompetent here, what else should I look at to make sure you're not missing anything.... Maybe incompetence is a strong word. But clearly he doesn't look good here and is left holding the bag. You also create potential vulnerability because anytime you show yourself a sucker, it simply attracts more attention from ppl or institutions that want to also exploit the situation... A previous poster said just release him to avoid further embarrassment. This is true also. Maybe drew rosenhouse opens up a can of worms on whatever information he has.... It's just an all around bad look from a gm. Of all the other things that Beane has done, this is where you draw the line? This is hilarious. Im not a Beane supporter, he has made alot of mistakes and I think hes good not great. But taking a chance on Slay and cutting Ingram, is WAY down the list. We have no clue if Slay had a change of heart or any of the background ---- instead everyone freaking out and acting like Beane was majorly in the wrong here. These are not the type of decisions that make a difference in the grand scheme--- in fact, very good chance Ingram may have not made this roster out of camp, if Max was healthy. 3 4 1 Quote

If a team drops a player today that we want, did we already lose our spot in the waiver line? We need to wait until Slay officially retires? So many questions. Why would someone put a disagree emoji next to this post? This poor guy asked a relevant question that several posters probably would like answered. He didn’t even offer an opinion to disagree with. 🏈 3 2 Quote

Allen will be driving the Bills late in the AFC playoffs, Ingram subs in for an injury and makes the game saving play for the Texans 🙈 No, I think we all know how this will end. At the end of the season, Ingram will be cut and out of a job. Next season, around week 10, both starting CBs for the Bills will have simultaneous hamstring pulls and concussions, CB3 will be dealing with a lingering high ankle sprain, and CB4, probably a rookie 6th rounder, will be the lone uninjured starter. Beane will then sign Ingram as a free agent and everyone here will roll their eyes in disbelief that he was the best they could find and was only signed because "he knows the system." 1 3 1 Quote

So do people remember when Levi tweeted out his phone # inviting fans to message him? I told my son and he texted the number. An hour or so later Levi actually called him back and chatted him up for like ten minutes. My kid was in his early to mid teen years and it totally made his day. Created a great memory too. He’s been a favorite of mine since then. 2 1 1 4 Quote
Coach Tuesday Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don’t really care about Darius Slay or Jamarcus Ingram. They are both bottom of roster scrapes at this point. But it is increasingly clear that Brandon Beane is not very good at his job. He’s just isn’t. He’s not the worst GM by any stretch, but he is not in the top ten either. And since there’s no salary cap for coaches and executives, if I were Terry I’d try hard to upgrade. 3 2 1 3 Quote

RunTheBall Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I really don’t care about Ingram. The guy couldn’t beat out Kair F’n Elam. But, it’s a horrific look for Beane and we know he’s got an ego that hardly fits in the building. I don’t think there’s a chance he lets Slay go to the Eagles even if he has to hold an empty roster spot open for a couple weeks. 2 1 1 Quote

Forget about the offensive side of the ball….9 years into this regime (with a defensive head coach) Beane has yet to draft/sign a premier player(s), a game changing player(s) or a player(s) that opposing offensive coordinators have to game plan for at any of the 3 levels of defense. DaggersEOD Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago If the waiver wire carries no weight and players can just pick and choose where they go, then why even have a waiver wire? IMO the purpose is so that all the good players can’t just quit their current team and all join the good ones. Not understanding the BB hate on this. I think it blocks them from getting better and we lose someone who doesn’t affect our D in any significant way. Well played IMO Quote

Yep that was during Covid and I talked to him for a few minutes too—what an awesome gesture that was and a truly genuine guy. Brightened a lot of Bills fans’ days! 2 Quote

Well played IMO You’re correct as to rationale and that is exactly why the waiver rule for vets changes after the trade deadline. 1 Quote

JoPoy88 Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago Bills currently have his rights and *could* throw him on the reserve/retire list right now and send him to his couch for the rest of the season correct? I assume that is what Rosenhaus is trying to convince them not to do. Quote
