Nah, he just has his team and preference. Nothing wrong with that. Jordan Phillips did something similar in telling his agent and teams "I'm only getting off the couch for the Bills so dont bother". Even if the Chiefs or Eagles or another top org called.

 

I believe Slay's wife and kids are all in Philly still.

Ingram was definitely going to make it through waivers and back onto our PS. So yeah I'm guessing we'll just re-sign him to the active roster. No harm no foul.

Phillips was a free agent and off of waivers. huge difference when it comes to the labor negotiations part of it.

Think the players at the bottom of the roster understand, it's a business and these are the tactics used every week by every team.  If it were Sept and some other team wanted him and told him, he'd be active every week and play alot, he'd maybe prefer going there.  But at this point in the year, unless it were another  team wit ha good chance of going deep into playoffs, my guess is he'll have no problem coming back here.

 

In the case of Slay that could have been Philly, but oh well

Didn't Anquan Boldin also choose to quit before playing for the Bills? 

 

Pretty sure we signed him as a FA, then he quit during preseason or something. 

 

Slay is different though. It seems like he probably hoped to go back to the Eagles.
