TJ Watt on Bills rushing dominance: “I’ve never seen a team run the same play that much and have that kind of success.” Wow.

Joe Brady when at last his master plan of using the same play over and over again is vindicated:

We know it can’t be the former. We have all fired Brady seven times this year. Each.

i fired him 10 times in just one game...he keeps coming back though

McD has been grinding, along with his protege, Babich, to fix this defense.  All we can ask is that he fixes the defensive side of the ball that is his expertise, and it appears he has done a great job.  They gave up nothing the 2nd half vs Houston (60 yards and 3 points from a Shakir fumble) and today stuffed the Steelers on their field.  I'll see what they do vs Cincinnati but it's promising.

Our defense look completely different after Bernard got hurt in 2nd half of Houston game.  McD and Babich still believes in Bernard.

Their young guys on the d-line are having to grow up in a hurry. Saw positive plays from Solomon, Walker, and Sanders.

Bishop continues to flash what we were hoping to see from him. Taron is either injured or just spent at slot as I see they are subbing Cam Lewis in more often and I don't think there is that much of a drop off and I think he often seems more willing to click and close to fill and make tackles.

I know we have not often gotten our worth out of older big-name signings, but who doesn't think that Joey Bosa has pretty much kept this DL from total collapse this year while they have been trying everything to fill the other gaps. Basically playing with one hand - earned it.

On offense folks may want to see a wide open game, but with two backup OTs in the game going up against veteran pass rushers in Watt and Highsmith, they did the smart thing getting the ball out of Allen's hands quickly and leaning into their running game. They also did not have either receiver that can actually get open in Kincaid and Palmer starting the game so no real downfield threats to use.

Also, I really liked how decisive Allen was taking off and taking a good angle to the sideline and the marker today. He did not set himself up for sacks or getting hit by holding the ball and looking downfield for options that have been few and far between this year - just not there and the best thing to do is take a good angle to the sideline and pickup what yards he could.

Thought that late hit on the slide definitely should have been called, but Allen did a good job eluding the rush on several occasions and breaking tackles and I think that was because he was a lot more decisive about I am just going to take off now.

Tough gutsy win - go Bills!

Gave me flashbacks of the team running all over Dallas a few years back.  Just ran all over the Steelers.

It certainly helped today that the Steelers are a pretty trash team haha.  Win ugly, win pretty, doesn't matter, just find a way.  On to the Bengals.  Hopefully Josh Allen can find some plays against that porous defense.

Gotta hand it to Bosa. Gutting through the injured wrist and making a game changing play.

Playing with one hand - and he was chasing down plays all day.
Bosa is a dude.

May be time for tough love at OBD. They like to pamper their own, but they need to make sure the guys they roster can stay somewhat healthy and contribute and being willing to cut ties with those that cannot.

A re-think at DT and LB may help too when they are looking for roster additions via the draft and FA. Getting some bigger bodies up front and LBs that have the attitude needed to play the run may also help keep our smaller DBs and safeties from taking on so many guys coming at them with a full head of steam and getting injured. There is a lesson to be taken away from being near the bottom of rush defence and having so many of your defenders getting injured.

Not the best performance, and still look messy at times - particularly on offense - but a win is a win. I thought we would be in for a low scoring defeat so am happy we've moved on to 8-4.

In fairness, the NFL this season is Any Given Sunday more than ever. Teams seem so much more competitive in general... maybe except for the Titans and, to a lesser extent, the Saints... it's making for a stressful if enthralling year.

The Bengals will offer a far bigger challenge for the defense but a really good job today.

Big Win and it is all about the W.   Defense cane up big.

Bills dominated the second half on the road, with a banged up offensive line, and in high -wind wintry conditions.

Was that a record for rushing yards given up by Pittsburgh?

Well done.   Get ready for Cinci.

The Bills played with a toughness that we have not seen in a while.

they just did it against Carolina a few weeks ago.  Its an identical game.

Josh Allen has more rushing TDs than a anybody ever. Like in NFL history.

James Cook may put up 1600 rushing yards this year. Most in Buffalo history easy.

Do we have these “very minor bits and pieces” put together before the real fans that understand WR dynamics wake up? Just making sure

Why not, if it works? It feels like coordinators often overthink play calls even if they're working. They just assume the opponents will work it out so move on. Sometimes sticking with something until proven the question's been answered is the way to go.
