I rip on Keon as much as anyone, but it's interesting to look at the list of TD receptions this season.

Keon has 4 TD's,  tied with Puka Nacua, Keenan Allen, Nico Collins, Marvin Harrison Jr,... to name a few.

Some others with 3 TD's,  Diggs, CeeDee Lamb, DeVonta Smith, Shakir, Jordan Addison, LaPorta, etc..

He also is tied with Shakir with 23 1st downs having 23 less targets.

The kid and I emphasize "kid" needs to get his head straight and he can still make a serviceable WR.

I'm sorry Alpha but this is as basic as it gets for a WR:

That isn't what happened. See the video above. He's just running into open space, there is nothing remotely high level about this other than what Allen does to manufacture a TD from an otherwise broken play.

If I'm supposed to take this TD as a big positive step forward for Coleman, sorry but I don't. He has a very long way to go. Every time Allen looked downfield he wasn't finding any of his WRs open and Coleman is a big part of that problem. He also had another drop on a routine quick slant catch. Good to see Coleman back in the lineup but let's be honest about the performance.

Ask yourself Happy, why didn't Josh throw the pass to Knox who was also wide open????

Below, from today's ESPN's "NFL Week 14 latest buzz, questions, news and fantasy tips."

I like this, always having believed that McDermott truly cares about his players and invests himself in helping them grow as humans.

"Keon Coleman's fourth-and-goal touchdown catch Sunday in Pittsburgh held a little more importance than a run-of-the-mill score. The Buffalo receiver had gone through the proverbial ringer. The Bills sat him down in back-to-back weeks due to punctuality issues at the team facility. He was benched for Week 11 vs. Tampa Bay, and though he worked to get back in the lineup the following week in Houston, that was a Thursday night game, so the team stuck with its same offense on a quick turnaround. "It's a professionalism thing -- but he's going to be OK," a team source told me that week. "We need him."

More pointedly, the Bills need receivers who can beat coverage consistently. While Coleman isn't a speedster, he has the size and body control to make contested catches. He's still learning how to operate in a Josh Allen offense where second-reaction routes can be just as important as the original route due to Allen's scrambling. The Bills did not consider cutting Coleman through his midseason issue, I'm told, and it looks like they are sticking with him after he played 33 snaps Sunday. Let's see if he can build on that.

not bad company!

What I gather from that is, he’s pretty darn good in the red zone.

Allen obviously made that play, but you can't discount that Coleman is also so open due to a lack of respect for his talent.  29 and 22 barely pay him any mind as he jogs by.

Yeah,,what i get from it is that outside of Davante Adams, Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra and Pickens...a lot of the big name WRs don't have as many TDs this season as people would expect.

To your point, Keon probably has more career TDs (8) than one would expect from the level of underachievement we've seen from him week to week.

Knox is also wide open.  You could make an argument they probably score on a throw to cooks too since its cooks + blocker vs. 1 defender, since 29 and 22 both chased keon.  Pretty good example of when the rush and the coverage don't match up.

My GUESS is one of 29/22 has cooks in motion - and the other has keon.  They ended up both chasing keon thinking the other takes cooks.

He was open for one reason and one reason only.  Jalen Ramsey overreacted to Josh taking 1 step towards the line of scrimmage.  Looked to me like that step baited Ramsey into selling out to stop him vacating his area of responsibility, leaving Keon wide.  Ramsey should’ve stayed put and let the trailing DBs attack Josh.  Easy 6.

That team source = Brandon Beane lol.

I would be much more down on Keon if he were disrespectful to fans or team staff.   Or drag racing down Abbot or hitting pedestrians in downtown Buffalo.  Or displaying physical violence toward his family or friends.  He appears to have problems with his living arrangements and operating an alarm clock.  He's got to figure something out there and maybe he already has.   I think back to that almost go ahead TD vs. the Pats on a Josh throw that barely took him out the back of the end zone.  He has some playmaker skills and I am not sure about Steve Smith's "dog" opinion.   Recall the back to back plays vs. Tariq Woolen last year?  That was some big dog stuff.  We'll see how the story plays out.

And how many BOLD moves have the chiefs made?

Not this year but two massive bold moves, both with the Bills, trading up to get Mahomes and trading down with the Bills to get Xaiver Worthy and our prize in return is keon Coleman.  How did those work out?

Trading up for Worthy isn't working out well for them. He's on pace for 600 yards and has 1 TD. That's not a trade up in the 1st round type of outcome at all. Chiefs fans are annoyed with him and his role in the offense.

I do not think its the slam dunk move that you seem to think it is.  Considering Keon suffered a 4 week wrist injury in his rookie year, I think he's comparably productive and has more upside than does a situationally gimmicky player.  As it is, I'd take Josh and Keon over Patrick and Xavier.

Well the rub worked and Knox was open from the get-go. Pretty sure Knox is the first read. But the unaccounted for defender jumped, took that option away and Allen saw Keon which is an easier throw. It is 4th down so Allen was looking for a sure thing.

Xavier has 4 more games played with 31 more catches, 144 more receiving yards and 1 less reception TD. Xavier also has 28 more rushes for 189 more rushing yards and 3 more rushing TDs. Based on those numbers alone think the trade up wasn't that great of a deal to me, yet maybe can ask Chiefs fans what they think about Worthy?

Lack of respect for his talent, or extra respect for Allen as a runner there. Its why Allen is so good in the redzone

Yeah, I've been annoyed with Coleman as a player, but Worthy hasn't really been much of a game changer either.

Let's not pretend Worthy is any good either. The only reason we were able to get Josh is because we made that trade that allowed the Chiefs to pick Mahomes.

Mahomes and WORTHY?  You think worthy is a bold move that has paid off in a big way?  I don’t.  He’s meh.  They’ve made other bold moves, signing thuney, frank Clark, Orlando brown, trading up for Trent, jawaan taylor, Kadarious Toney, 3 semi bold moves in Hollywood, Matthieu and Justin Reid.  Over the last 8-9 seasons, I don’t think that’s being very bold.  Pretty on par for the course imo.  We’ve made more bold moves than them imo.  Ours just get injured or don’t live up to expectations.

worthy…. lol.

Yeah and Josh was pitiful throwing short to his left yesterday.  Kind of embarrassingly pitiful.
