Bills release Elijah Moore

In the 3 losses he played in (Atlanta, Miami & Houston), Moore was targeted a total of 7 times. He had 3 receptions for a total of 6 yards.   He also had 1 rushing attempt for -1 yard.   So, we ran 8 plays his way and we gained 4 total yards.    He was definitely not a difference maker for us!   
 

Most of the times he made a catch this year, my first thought was “who’s #18?”

And that makes sense.  What successful HC fires OC’s back to back in such short order?  It’s a horrible look and might be THE overarching reason we’re stuck with this guy for the rest of the season.  

thats the bind you put yourself in when you hire some one with no actual experience...should have learned that lesson with Dorsey.

i could see brady filling in the rest of the year but then do your due dilligence.

Feel bad for the dude. Would have liked more production from him, but the current offense wasn’t going to do that.

We lead the league in rushing yards, tenth in passing yards, third in total yards [only 7 ypg behind the leader], and we all complain about the offense.  The problem is our #16 ranked defense, and our head coach is a supposed defensive guru.

I never understood the board's love for Moore.   There is a reason that the Browns made no effort to resign him even though they have absolutely no-one behind Jeudy. 

 

A guestion: If it is true that Moore asked for his release, do the Bills get off the hook for any of the 2.5M gauranteed?

Yet how often is this the case for 70 catch receivers we bring in? 

 

Brady pigeon holes guys in his simplistic offense.

Beane gave Moore 2.5M guaranteed when he was sitting on his couch after the draft and FA.

This is a very tough lesson for Beane not to be cheap at wr ever again with Allen. 

 

The offense generally speaking needs to take priority. That's the whole point of a defensive hc 

Being cheap as you call it signing WR's sure worked last season MVP for Josh and the highest scoring offense in the league !! Don't know where the train went off the tracks but something sure isn't right in the connection between Josh and the WR's ...

So, when you look at the Bills season statistics to date, it convinces you that the offense wasn’t the main problem in 3 of our 4 losses? Not giving our defense a pass, but outside of the Dolphins game where the whole team collectively looked like complete ass, the offense generated 20, 14, 13, and 12 pts in those losses and generally looked completely inept.

He had opportunities and pretty much just ran himself right into coverage whenever he was open lol. Such a bizarre player

I never understood his signing or Samuel.  We have needed outside threats for years since letting Davis walk and trading Diggs.  Instead he gave us Big Slot Coleman who can get separation, and small slots Samuel (who can't stay healthy) and Moore.  He finally signed an outside "threat" in Palmer.  I like Beane in general but his failure to draft and develop WRs has always been a mystery a a huge issue for the Bills for years.  It's almost as bad as Kevyn Adams and goaltenders.  

 

Since 2021 the Bills have used one top 4 rd pick on a WR and that was Colemen in the 2nd rd.  Our best WR selection was Shakir in the 5th in 2022. 

 

Since 2021 Green Bay has used 6 top 4 rd selections on WRs. 2021 0 Rodgers 3rd, 2022 Watson 2nd, Doubs 4th, 2023 Reed 2nd, 2025 Golden 1st, Williams 3rd.  Plus the grabbed Wicks in the 5th in 2023.  

 

It's mindboggling how a GM with a generational talent at QB, doesn't invest at in in WRs.  Just think how much cheaper WRs are on rookie deals.

Well we've just had three pages basically saying he's a poor man's  Stefon Diggs if only Brady used him correctly -- I would say there's a lot of people in the board who are expressing "love" for Moore.
