They had a 4 game lead in the division and everyone was saying Baltimore was going to win the division anyway.

 

Nobody thinks Pittsburgh is any good. Texans would crush them. 

 

There is no part of the Steelers game that is elite. 

 

 

 

Thats true but we also lost to a 2 win Dolphins team and a 5 win Texans team with a backup QB. Another team being bad doesn't mean a win for us. We lost to some crappy teams already.

the good news is you are both wrong. We are making the playoffs because we are a really good team already in good position and with a favorable remaining schedule. 
 

Played poorly a few times, which hurts less in November than January. Have some injuries but that is the ebb and flow of the NFL. Saying a 7-4 #17 is going to participate in 0.5 postseasons this year is never a lock but is the easiest over to take in a long time.

This idea that the playoffs are automatic and we need to "save" players is wrongheaded imo.  We are fighting for our playoff lives, every game is vital.  We are going to lose some more, we can't lose too many more.

We need to make sure everyone is ready to go for the game that is automatic, and that is week 18, the final game at Rich Stadium. The final game needs to be a win, no matter what, so there is a feel good story to get us through the off-season as we await the grand opening of our new Diggs! Hopefully Oliver is back by then along with Kincaid and Hardman to stretch the field. Pieces of the turf at Rich stadium will be sold for big$$$ and stretching that field means more revenue. Playoffs come and go, but there is only ONE final game at Rich Stadium, so let's make sure we win that.

This is THE game. 
 

Get to 8-4 with the head to head against both AFCN playoff contenders along with the Chiefs and we should be looking at 2-3 the rest of the way gets us in (10-7). 
 

Lose to the Steelers and 10-7 might still get us in, but if Baltimore takes the division, we’re now down head to heads against Pittsburgh and Houston.  It gets dicey.

I think in a couple weeks those losses aren’t going to look quite as bad. Dolphins will probably have won 4 out of their last 5. Houston is 6-2 in their last 8 and will probably at least split their next 2.

Will be an interesting game for sure.  The offense is just struggling mightily in 3 of the last 4 road games. It's really a stark regression from the previous 4 seasons.  

The D is duct taped together at this point.  They cannot put together a complete game but they've had good quarter and halves to give the O a chance.

If hes in shape, he’s always been good against the run.   Play him on early downs with Rousseau and maybe we get a bit more stout.  
 

We also desperately need to get Bosa healthy as he has become a shell of himself with the injury he’s playing through. 
 

And TJ Sanders, pick #40, that we traded up for, needs to go back inside at DT.  
 

Figure out your rotation at DT with Walker, Jones, Sanders, Ogunjobi.  
 

Get Jordan Phillips off the field.  
 

Get Bosa healthy.  
 

That should be the 3 primary objectives down the stretch for this DL.

Can’t agree with this enough.   Although I think we pretty much need to win out… this game is extremely important.    With the division title pretty much out of reach now (unless the Pats just completely fall apart), we have to keep pa e with potential wild card teams, and a head to head win is big.

I don't really know how betting lines are set as I'm not a gambler, but I wonder if part of it is setting a line that gets people to move on it (last game anyone saw of the Bills was at Houston). I would think, being on the road, the Bills would be like -2 at most, if not underdogs.

It is remarkable the year is 2025, and we are gonna see the defence have Jordan poyer, Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson play meaningful snaps lol.

The Steelers are living and dying on a positive turnover differential and redzone offense/defense.

 

They are ranked #4 in turnover differential, tied for #3 in redzone offense , and #11 in redzone defense.

 

If the Bills can force the Steelers to kick FG half the time in the redzone we probably win.

Yeah, we need bodies, and Shaq is someone they can plug in pretty quickly. But I agree with Pat on these points:
