Maybe it’s the impending doom feeling that we have a unicorn QB and still find a way to mess it up. Its the whole history of the team, the coach, the GM… When they win, I feel relieved. When they lose, I feel devastated. Any tips? What do you all do to disengage and try to actually enjoy this? Hey you arent supposed to post things like this you can only enjoy the ride. Quote

gtw3 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yes. I will always enjoy watching the Bills play. It is my favorite thing to watch, even during the lean years. I think that being stationed so far away from home for so long (21 years now), they are a very real connection for me. A sense of pride of where I came from. Go beat the Steelers and things will feel better again. Quote
Livinginthepast Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It stopped being fun the season after 13 seconds. It was a slow creep, but as the offense got worse, the defense started to lose the playmakers, then the injuries have sucked the life out of the team for 4 seasons. That slow march to all stress got worse with Hamlin almost dying on the field. Then you have the Officials always rearing their ugly heads. You are always expecting a flag on every play. This season feels like smoke and mirrors. Somehow with this boring offense and this epically bad defense we are 7-4. But the really bad losses in easily winnable games are accumulating. Tonight was fun for a few seconds during the hook and ladder play on 4th and 27 but it felt like a drop in an ocean of disgust I already felt. Quote
Whkfc Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I was roasted a few weeks ago when i said alot of what you guys are saying now when i started a thread about no longer being a top team. We are now the Steelers north with McDermmot. Almost but not quite good enough. Quote

Nihilarian Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Last week it was, this week not so much. Now the Bills have ten days to endure before the next game. If they continue to allow Joe Brady to call plays and the Buffalo defense plays like that in the first half, they might not win against the Steelers, Patriots or Eagles. 7-4 might turn out to be 10-7 if they are lucky. dcinmuncie Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I hate this team on the level that I hated 2009, 2005 are two years that come to mind. Quote
The Wiz Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago nope. Even if they won the game last night. It's boring football and has lost what made them good. Quote
stlbills13 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago After lasts night game my wife asked me if I'm "into torture in the bedroom or just watching footballm Quote
Avisan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @muppyAll I will say is that I am glad you have your approach, and also that there are many, many Bills fans who are absolutely miserable over this stuff for far, far more than a day. It's constant. Quote
Southern McButterpants Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It is no longer fun. I'd rather be back to drought years where just having a winning record or being crap and having a top 10 draft pick was considered a "win." Quote
Captain_Quint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This team is boring. Even though the game was close last night, I just wanted it to end. It's ashame that we wasted a Josh Allen year with this pile of garbage. Realistically, what do have, 5 more years left? Hopefully there is a big shakeup at the end of the year with McD, Beane, whoever, because we need new blood in here. McDermotts clear glasses arent cutting it. 1 Quote
Gugny Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Last night was the first time … ever … that I turned the TV off an hour before the game was over. Quote
Fan in Chicago Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Last night, it honestly felt like I was watching a game in the drought years. With our team being inept and getting hammered. The difference that made it worse last night was that we have Allen. In the drought years, at least I could fall back on "oh if only we had a QB". 2 Quote
GunnerBill Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Watching Joey Bosa walk around is not fun for me. I missed some of the 3rd Quarter last night. I am on holiday and decided to prioritise some time with the other half. I don't often turn off or miss bits of Bills games but we have players out there not giving their all. Especially Bosa whose effort is laughable. And that does piss me off. They were absolutely terrible but the Gailey teams and the Jauron teams they tried. There were guys especially on defense first half last night who I guarantee you were not playing with 100% effort. 1 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago Josh Allen is always worth watching. Mcdermott and his defense aren’t. It’s like watching a fight where a scrappy 180lb weakling gets pummeled by a bigger stronger opponent. Congrats McBeane. You’ve managed to build a defense that is the exact opposite of your unicorn QB. I particularly loved watching Taron Johnson unblocked on a 4th and 1 get dragged 7 yards by a RB. Quote
notpolian Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago I still like to watch games but it's a lot less fun than when Daboll was OC and we had a passable defense. I looked forward to the offense getting on the field. "I wonder what they'll do this time"? Sometimes it didn't go too well but it was still fun. The defense was fundamentally sound even if it couldn't stop teams in the playoffs. Quote
