UKBillFan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I understand people saying the coaches aren't going. But if Josh goes to Pegula and calls for it to happen it will. And it felt like he was getting close to it tonight - with Brady anyway. 1 1 Quote

If any of those things didn't happen, we win the game. Josh Allen's 2 INTs well that's the number one defense in the NFL. They're gonna get sacks and picks. Those are expected. McD is on the hot seat. Should have been gone 2 years ago (to me anyway). He's just a lame duck? On borrowed time? Favoritism from management? Joe Brady is done. He's not coming back. Babich not returning either. Our defense was terrible in the 1st half, yet picked it up in the 2nd half. If we wanna look on the positive, I honestly thought we get blown out. We hung in there and almost won the game vs. the number one defense in the NFL playing for their playoff lives. That's the only positive in a night of full of negatives. Yes, this was a playoff game tonight. It showed. We're hoping that Josh Allen is NOT THAT BADLY injured. We'll live. Yeah - good point in the 1st part there. We just find new ways to beat ourselves. Turnovers, penalties, poor execution, poor play calls. And I don't want to take anything away from the Texans. That D had an inspired effort tonight, and they deserved to win. But as we've seen a few times this season, we also made it much easier for them. I don't know who this team is right now. I'm definitely not used to our offense struggling like this. It's hard to watch Josh take so many sacks, and many because there was simply no one open - and that was easy to see on some of the wide angles. Quote

Buffalo Ballin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 28 minutes ago, sven233 said: That was a crap show from the moment that Prater missed the XP. And despite that, we still should have won the freaking game. The coaches got their tails kicked tonight. The offensive line got their tails kicked tonight. And because Brady had no answers, we lost. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PICK UP A YARD AND THEN TAKE 4 SHOTS AT THE END ZONE!!!!! Why aren't you doing that? It's basic game management and Brady acts like he's never seen football before!!!! Every freaking pass play is virtually the same. Run shallow mesh and hope that someone pops open. They did it all night. The Texans have 8-9 guys within 10 yards of the LOS and we are running mesh underneath them all night. Not 1 shot down the field. Not one....... You aren't going to win games when the defense knows you are not going to throw the ball over 15 yards in the air and we never take a deep shot. You have to take deep shots, even if they aren't completed to back the defense off! We never do it. Brady is out of his league and Allen's comment to Trubisky even shows that Allen is out on Brady. If nobody believes in you, nobody is going to play for you and that is where we are with Brady. He should be done this weekend. He won't be, but he should be. As bad as the defense was in the first half, they gave the offense several chances to win the game and Brady couldn't change or find an answer. This team is in serious trouble right now. 100% agreed. Joe Brady should be fired right now. He shouldn't even be back on the team's plane back to Buffalo. Quote

Roundybout Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago You also need to fire Beane as soon as possible so that it doesn't taint the draft prep. Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Sean McDermott sounded like a complete sadsack in the postgame show. A guy with no answers. Quote

Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 6 minutes ago, UKBillFan said: It was the Texans. Their offense is abysmal. Getting stops is the least they should be doing against them. They're only on 6-5 because of their D. I'm not getting over excited because it took the defense, and coaches, a whole half to work out how to limit Davis Mills. We gave up 20 points in the first half. The best thing that ever happened to this defense is Bernard being off the field. It sucks it took an injury and I hope he’s ok but the coach was to inept to do it. Now at least we have the right LBs on the field. That’s going to make a huge difference 1 1 Quote
turbo044 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Big picture, in the end we're lucky Josh got out of this game without a serious injury. HOU basically rushed 4 and dominated our oline. I thought our center played well, everybody else sucked. Brown tried to gut it out with the bad shoulder. Brady failed the offense miserably, just read Josh's lips. The one thing HOU has been vulnerable to is outside runs. How many pitches to cook do you remember? The answer in 0. How about trying to slow down the pass rush with a no huddle? our offense is very simple to play against. The only thing that makes us hard to play against is the elite athleticism of Josh and Cook. Brady coaches a pop league playbook 1 Quote

Most media had them regressing last season, but they manned up and had a great season. Now it’s time for regression. It’s not outrageous to think they can lose 4 of their last 6. They aren’t that good to say they will win any road game or the Eagles. They're basically attempting a rebuild while trying to contend at the same time. If you look at the defense, they've completely overhauled it. And once they move on from Milano, White, and Johnson it's basically a brand new defense from 3 years ago. But they lack a blue chip pass rusher, and I dunno how you manufacture that. You either pay 30M+ a year in FA or you find one in the draft, and those guys generally don't slip past the top 15. Meanwhile we now have 3 highly talented players at both corners spots and a safety spot, a good but not great llinebacker, a borderline elite 3T, a highly talented 1T who's just a rookie, and a pretty good run DE in Groot. They add a safety, a quality run defender backer, and hope Taron gets healthy/rejuvenated (he's only 29) and you got a good defense. Offensively, they've completed their rebuild of their OLine. Their ages are 31, 28, 28, 25, 27 from Left to Right. Their TEs going forward are 26 and 24. Their stud RB is 26. Truth is they're trying to attempt something that's insanely hard. I mean the Texans have an elite defense. Meanwhile the Texans defense has a top 3 pick, a top 3 pick, an elite DE free agent, two high quality FA DTs, a top 3 pick at CB, a 2nd round pick at CB, and a 3rd round pick at Safety. 1 Quote

CincyBillsFan Posted 55 minutes ago Posted 55 minutes ago 7 minutes ago, EmotionallyUnstable said: Both can be true. 1000% OL was whooped, and it likely had an impact on Allen’s reaction in passing downs. He also took of at least two times into pressures, and tried to extend multiple times that resulted in wildly negative plays or injury. These are the kind of 2018 Allen plays that happen and you know something isn’t right. The only success we had growing the ball was predetermined quick game. That is a failure in game planning and execution. It was a complete fail Allen could see that in the first half the D could not stop the Texans and tried to force the issue by extending plays and taking risks throwing the ball. You could see it in his sideline mannerism and eyes. Brady then goes back and forth between completely taking the ball out of Allen's hands, like the 4 straight runs by cook that led to a turnover on downs when the Bills had a good drive going to then switching to all out passing. There was no downfield passing attack tonight because there wasn't enough time to let the play develop and the WR's do not get open quickly. My goodness the Texans seemed to have 10 guys within 7 yards of the LOS on almost every play. But when you play the #1 Defense in the NFL at their house you are going to struggle moving the ball and scoring points. So how about the D under the Bills defensive minded HC and with a lot of draft & FA capital invested help the Bills win a game 16 - 13? Quote
