buffaloboyinATL Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Now that Mathis has been added to the active roster, I am excited to see how he develops. He has a really high ceiling (former second round pick by the Commanders) but his development has been slowed by injuries. (calf)/meniscus) He has been called up twice, and now appears to be signed to the 53. In his last year at 'Bama (2021) Mathis had 53 tackles, 9 sacks and 12 TFL's and was named 2nd team all-SEC. This kid has a lot of upside. https://rolltide.com/sports/football/roster/phidarian-mathis/4653 Edited 4 hours ago by buffaloboyinATL 9 1 2 Quote

We've gone through some pretty bad seasons with injuries, but this one in particular seems to be especially brutal. 1 Quote
JerseyBills Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I feel like alot of these high picks just landed on terrible teams that had terrible culture and not the best coaching, feel like they maybe slack off a bit, team is poor and teammates don't give af and being young with $$ , never know, especially coming from Bama, lot of potential Edited 3 hours ago by JerseyBills 1 Quote

Felt like he was all over the place making plays. 1 Quote
dpberr Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I prefer the Bills experimenting with new players to the organization like Logue and Mathis versus bringing back the ol' boys from seasons past. Casey Toohill and Kingsley Jonathan aren't going to do anything. Edited 3 hours ago by dpberr 2 2 1 Quote
Mat68 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I like the shift to size inside. If he can eat some double teams and muck up the middle I'm all for it. TJ Sanders coming off IR will be a-lot of help. Jones getting healthy really improves the room as well. 3 1 1 Quote

Yeah, the funny thing is, if this guy had been sitting on someone else's roster, and Beane traded a 5th or 6th round pick for him, many people would be praising him for trading for a young player with high potential. But because he planned ahead and added him back in September, there are some amongst our fan base, that will criticize him for lack of effort. No guarantee that Mathis pans out, but Beane should be praised for loading the bench early, rather than "panicking" on the last day of the trade deadline and expending a potentially valuable future draft pick. 2 3 1 Quote

Acceptance I guess I went from 1 straight to 4.. His loss depressed me as I feel it hurts the chance to win the SB. Just as with the Von Miller signing, a great plan derailed by a huge injury. Of course the Bills can win without him, but he made a huge positive difference. He was even calling plays in his 2nd game! So hey, if the depth guys can make a difference, I'm all ready for step 5 ha ha. 1 Quote

Acceptance Hoecht was here for 2 games and Oliver is hurt every year. KC scored once in the second half. Needed a 4-17 to accomplish that. Without both guys. I think the defense will be ok. Does it suck? Yes. Edited 1 hour ago by Mat68 Quote
Big Turk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Added "Phi"darian for the "Phins" game?? We signed Jordan "Phi"llips from the "Phins" and now have him on the active roster for the game?? I see what they are doing...Beane playing chess while these other Mofo's playing Checkers. Edited 1 hour ago by Big Turk 2 Quote
