Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but why was the FG attempt blown dead for offsides? Is it different than any other play where the offense gets a "free play"? I believe Carp made the kick so shouldn't the kick have counted and the offsides been declined?

If the Bills think EJ is the future of the franchise they could also be making a smart financial move by taking him in the first round. They have the 5th year option at a reasonable price.

The Bills finally obtained some credibility for landing free agents. I think Nix is smart enough to realize that cutting Merriman to save $1m would do more harm to this franchise down the line. Even if he doesn't make it through camp due to injury, he will be there to mentor the young guys.

This move proves how out of touch the FO really is. Will there really be a bunch of teams knocking down his door in the offseason? I find it amazing that we can spend $6mm on a second rate DE turned OLB but couldn't pony up the money to keep our starting LT. Makes sense only in Buffalo.
