Drama aside is his foot actually healthy?  I feel like he had some disagreement with the raiders over treatment.  Who knows if he’s healthy or even in playing shape

Well... The whole story from what I remember was the Raiders wanted him to have the 2nd surgery and he wanted to just rehab, but the rehab was not going well... So they released him. And now the NFLPA filed a grievance against the Raiders on his behalf. Still may need the 2nd surgery... Not sure though...

This is why I said bring him in for a visit or check in on him.  Obviously only sign him if he is healthy, but I think it is time to find out.  I amended the poll to state the obvious though which is to say if healthy do we sign him.  

We could even add him to the PS similar to Gabe to get a better feel for him if he is close but not quite there.

The Trade Deadline is tomorrow. You pass on making a deal somewhere else for a loose cannon like Christian Wilkins. He goes and does... Christian Wilkins things. Well now you're back to square one and can't make a deal to improve things.

We don't even know what happened but ill be the first to say, from what we know, I don't think it's all that bad to be fretting over. 

 

Some grab ass? Sexual passes at players maybe? Nobody is going to be a classic victim here lol meaning 52 to 1 beat down if the situation called for it. Id be more worried hiring him for a Job at CVS, seriously. I dunno what were talking about in an NFL lockeroom, they can police themselves 

 

Especially in the league thats employed some of the most heinous scumbags known to man lol the only real concern is:

 

1. health and what kinda shape hes in & can be in... his mental space i.e. is he hallucinating voices? Is he hungry? Do we have to worry about him snapping and killing people? We dont really know what the deal is

 

2. Is he smart enough to learn a playbook quick

 

3. Whats a minimum deal look like for this situation 

 

4. Is he on drugs? Like the real ones?

 

There's 3months here, if dude cant stay outta trouble for 3mos, then hes dumber than even the Antonio Browns of the league. Seems highly unlikely. 

 

The type of deal here does not stop you from trading for a WR or other position that isn't on DL

I think if he was healthy, he'd already be signed by somebody.  The Chiefs or Eagles at least.....

 

That said, we don't know.  But, even if we assume he was healthy, I would have a tough time supporting that dirtbag.  I guess if we knew he was 100% healthy, and we got Josh's personal endorsement to do it, then I would consider it for sure.  I just don't see it happening either way, though, even though the dude can play and would probably help us if he was healthy.  This is just one of those things as fans we don't have enough inside insight on to make that kind of call.

We don’t need another guy like that. We need a guy who can stand up and rush the passer. This 55 was being used in the Lorax role and it’s about the only thing that’s ever been effective in the McDermott defense. Go get a Brian burns ish dude.
