There was a lot of activity, but most of it was minor pieces. The only significant move today was the trade that Indianapolis made. But there was nothing like Von to the Rams or CMC to the 49ers. And the Pats and Chiefs also did nothing. I know the Steelers added Dugger (who seems washed), but they were shopping HARD for a WR and all they got was MVS to the practice squad. The status quo in the AFC didn't change. I wanted a WR too, but at least the Pats didn't use all that cap space to get someone like Maxx Crosby. That would have been a disaster. 1 1 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Honestly kinda shocked the pats weren’t buyers at the deadline…I wonder if beane was out there driving up the price on WRs so NE couldn’t grab anybody 😂 1 Quote

Keon will probably lead in snaps due to run blocking We need Palmer to come back strong and play a bigger role. I was hoping Beane would sign another field stretching boundary guy, but I guess they think Palmer is still the answer there. Let's hope so because we desperately need a WR that can keep the defense honest and at least make them respect the possibility of the deep ball. 1 Quote
Johnnycage46 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The trade deadline sometimes reminds me of replay reviews during games...asking a person or a group of people to revisit their past actions to try to adjust it or verify it was the right move. Part of me thinks Beane is content with the roster (as he constructed it after all) and making a big move would be an indictment of his former actions leading into the year (and past years). And another part of me thinks that "hey I guess they probably tried" but it didn't work out. Quote
BillsShredder83 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago What a slap in the face. You couldn't find any way, at any position, to make us any degree better than we currently are? Most wide open I've ever seen it, and 0 changes or assets from 31 other teams could help that vision? Is there a vision? Unbelievably complacent 2 4 Quote

If we come up short this year, it’s 100% on Beane Hey now, our 3rd round pick Landon Jackson might suit up for a game yet this year. He's been really impactful so I can see why Beane wants to hold on to the 2026 3rd instead of getting a guy who can actually help like Shaheed. 2 Quote
ArdmoreRyno Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Unreal. We don't do s**t to help Josh. Ever. Screw drafting a speed WR. Screw trading for one. Another loss in the playoffs incoming... UGH. (Just pissed) 2 Quote

I was told several years ago that they discuss everything with him, with regards to Draft and FA. He has to be okay with what they do and don't do! We're tied for the 3rd best record in the league, have the 3rd best PPG offense, 1st in rushing yards, 9th best defense in PPG and 2nd best passing defense in the league, tied for 6th in sacks. Yes we don't pass the eye test always when we pass or at time give up long runs but we're a top 4 team in this league on any given Sunday. What more can we really expect? 2 1 Quote

Buffalo716 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm not going to get to high or low We literally have young players who are still coming into their own.. we have a good mix of established veterans and up-and-coming players People are acting like the bills are not tied for the fewest losses in the NFL.. all the talk about how terrible our offenses but we're top of the league in scoring We just bullied the Chiefs .. and they were more healthy than us Bills Indianapolis in the AFC championship game? Daniel Jones reverts, Josh Allen gets the monkey off his back This bill's team is absolutely top of the AFC 2 Quote

There’s a chance that a team figures out how to stop the run in the playoffs. I’m really bummed that we didn’t get a field stretcher. I’m even more bummed that we didn’t add a pass rusher or a DT. We got a taste of what our D can look like when we can get pressure. It’s been good most of the season, but let’s be realistic, someone else is going to get hurt. Halfway through the season and we already lost 3 of our top DTs and our 2nd best pass rusher. Not sure we can sustain without Ed and Hoecht, but our chances will take a nosedive if we lose Walker, Bosa or Rousseau with our current group. 1 1 Quote

Process Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I would have happily made either of the trades for Meyers or Shaheed. Bummer. 1 Quote

That's probably exactly what happened. The same reason, I suspect, for why they traded out of the first round in 2024 and had to settle for Coleman. Literally couldn't afford a 1st-round salary that year. Kinda bleak. Edited 5 hours ago by T.E. Quote

TJ Sanders was a high draft pick from an SEC school…it’s not unreasonable to expect an impact from him when he returns…same could be said of Jackson, I suppose… Quote
