Point being, our first may not have been nearly enough. Not to mention, the dolphins (and jets) are in bad shape.. but even they see the problem with trading a starting WR to Josh. Also, I just want to point out that the reporter said “a first and more”, not just a first. Sounds like the “and more” was probably like a high third or second or something. Given how low our picks are expected to be, I don’t think it’s crazy to assume that we’d have need to give our top 2 picks next year. If so, would I still have done that? Maybe. It would be an overpay for sure, and I’ll never feel good about that. But overpaying for quality can still work out. Quote

Would I have been excited if we traded for Thibedeaux or Olave…sure. Just never thought we would Quote

ChanticleerBillsFan Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I’m honestly not mad about missing out on Myers, Deebo, Von. None of those really move the needle. A first/fourth would have been worth it for Waddle. IMO 2 Quote
billieve420 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago If the option was Samuel/Miller or Nothing would prefer they stand pat. Would have still made move for Shaheed. Could always trade back to recoup picks if they needed. Quote

Josh Allen and a bunch of playoff appearances without a Super Bowl would be criminal... But there really were not any big deadline deals this year, outside of Sauce to the Colts and Williams to the Cowboys. This was a quiet deadline, mostly because a lot of teams still feel like they're in contention for a playoff spot. Quote
quincy Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Shaheed just as a KR/PR would have been a good get, even if he was WR4 here. Versatile player Dremont Jones to the Ravens is also something we missed out on. Just our luck that the biggest sellers were the Jets. Maybe something will be revealed in the next 30 minutes, one can hope. Quote

That’s my guess at what fell though…maybe the bills only wanted Deebo and the commanders tried packaging Von in for more picks, maybe bills wanted both and commanders would only give up one. sven233 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) We're officially the new Packers (when they had Rodgers in his prime)...... All world QB with the GM refusing to surround him with any super talented WRs and leaving the entire offense up to him. The only difference is the Packers have won Super Bowls.....we haven't. We are a Kincaid injury away from virtually no receiving production...... Edited 11 hours ago by sven233 3 5 Quote

Blackbeard Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I would/will cringe if they bring Von back at this point. Quote

Success Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Really, most of the guys that ended up getting moved wouldn't have helped that much (at least the guys we could afford). Shaheed would have been nice, but is he really much of an upgrade? He's just another WR3, really. I think it's getting tougher finding trading partners with 7 teams in the playoffs now, and how mid the league is. Most teams are still holding out some hope. 1 Quote
appoo Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago So pretty much status quo with the AFC other than the colts solidified as a top 3 seed 1 Quote
