Don’t overthink it. Davis looks terrible Flash against guys bagging groceries now. Coleman and White looked good in training camp too. That said Davis had looked so bad, I'd be fine letting Gore dress for a game. 2 hours ago, transplantbillsfan said: So I know traditionally Tre hasn't been a good tackler, but that seems flipped on its head this year. He seems like a pretty sure tackler, but not good in coverage on the outside due to his deteriorating athletic ability. With Taron potentially out of the game, would Tre be an option at slot CB? Nickel requires change of direction and short distance quickness in addition to tackling. Tre has none of those qualities. I'd rather see him get a shot at safety than nickel. Quote

We'll miss him, but as some have pointed out, Milano & Bernard are probably better for what the Chiefs do. Thanks Yeah for this week I agree. I would blitz Milano and Bernard often this game Quote

Pacheco is out, their left tackle is out and guard is possibly. Bills worst aspect on defense is rush defense and the test just got easier for them on that. We're also discounting the returns of Hoecht, Ogunjobi, and Hairston. This is also Christian Benford's first game against the Chiefs, last year in the Divisionals he got injured on that first play. I think if we can put up 27-30 points we win. - Let James Cook: in 5 total matchups against the Chiefs, Cook has 232 yards, averaging 4.5 ypc, and 5 touchdowns. Keep the Chiefs high-powered offense off the field. - Do something to get Josh in a rhythm early too, like one or two shots down the field, and hopefully he finds a rhythm. This is not Benfords first game against the chiefs. He at the very least played in the regular season game last year against them. Quote

It's no big loss for KC though. He's an extremely mediocre back that gets overhyped because of his running style and playing for the Chiefs. 1 Quote

We had an incredibly long drought where a season like this - where we are still considered one of the top contenders for a title - would have been the stuff of wild, irrational daydreams. A big part of enjoying any sport is setting expectations aside and just being in the moment. We have the marquee game on Sunday, it has big implications for the AFC's 1 seed, and we still get to watch Josh Allen play football every week. Love it! I just printed this out and will tape it to my television screen before kickoff on Sunday. I’ll let you know if it works. 👍 1 Quote

Tre has been a great tackler this year because this is really all he can contribute as a player, and he knows it. With the rise of the power running game in the league, this line up may have run its course. Quote

It seems to me all most of the numerous injuries have happened in practice. Taron, DeQuan, Oliver (the first injury), Strong, Hamlin, Hairston, Bass... Not sure about Shaq, Milano, Bernard, Prater, or Sanders, but at least some of these injuries have "popped up" on the injury report. Palmer and the punter Johnson is the only players I recall being injured during a game. I wonder if McDermott is addressing the poor tackling by stressing physicality in practice, resulting in a lot of casualties. Oliver was (and is now, with his second injury) the biggest loss, obviously, but Strong is another one. He would have welcome back there, the way he was playing. Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) It's the last year for Highmark. Has the grounds crew got time to paint one end zone 'CHEFS'? 🤔 Edited 4 hours ago by Ridgewaycynic2013 spelling Quote

Unfortunately we had Greggo as a head coach. On the other hand the Chiefs are one of the best "traditional screen pass" teams in the league. They also run a lot of bubble screens... often in the red zone. 21 hours ago, Chandler#81 said: More McDermott speaking brilliance: "I'm not a doctor but..." Bad idea imo. You never want a decision made based on what a fan base wants. Nobody knows what goes on in a locker room, practice, film studying, and the toll it takes on everyone to play this sport. Years ago when I lurked here, one of the posters eavesdropped on Buddy Nix (I think) and several other Bills football guys having a drink at the airport. According to the story they were reading TSW and chuckling about some of the posts. 18 hours ago, Success said: Health has been a real issue for our secondary this year. Brand J Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The one common scenario in 3/4 Bills losses is that the Chiefs were pretty much in control until the Bills made a big play to get back into it. You’ve got the Mack Hollins TD just before halftime last year, the goal line fumble for a touchback the year before, and of course the 70 yard TD to Gabe Davis when that one was starting to get away. The Bills have been hard to stomp, these games are always close. Quote
Brand J Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 20 hours ago, HereComesTheReignAgain said: Brady lacks any creativity in the passing game. People act like we have a bunch of undrafted FAs running around at WR and TE. They may not be world beaters, but we watch other teams scheme average WRs open every week. Brady needs to focus on learning intricacies of the passing game. I was really hoping that would have been an improvement made over the off season. That and the short game. After all the failed short yardage plays against the Chiefs, I expected him to pore over film, analyzing different teams go to plays for 3rd/4th and 1/2 to grow his bag of tricks. We might be worse than last year. Quote
Ray Stonada Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago “In the nine games Allen has played against the Chiefs, he is averaging 255.6 yards passing with 24 total TDs and just five interceptions while putting up 26.8 points per game. Mahomes has averaged 273.9 yards passing with 22 TDs and three picks while scoring 27.0 points per game. That’s how close it has been between these two.” From the D&C preview. Their prediction is KC 28, Buffalo 24. 1 Quote
