At this point, I guess you have to do something like:

Oliver to IR - Phillips to the active roster

Codrington released - Poyer to active roster

And then probably a mysterious IR trip for a guy like Jamarcus Ingram or Van Pran Granger so you can call up a guy like Logue

Then eventually have to make a trade for a WR and then either Moore, Samuel, or Shavers is either cut or ends up on IR

Jordan and Simmons are unlikely.

Harrison Phillips is somewhat believable.

I think the Bills if this Oliver injury is longer term (which is looking likely) should look into trading for a competent DT body. They need another competent durable body there. I think Phillips would be a quality add toss the Jets a 5th swapped for a 6th or 7th and see if that gets it done. Larry O and Daquon are older players who have had injuries, Walker is young but a big dude, Sanders could come back but he's likely still coming off an injury and wasn't fantastic when he played. Adding Phillips while not a game changer would add some vet stability and eat up a lot of snaps.

We don't need to release anyone to put Poyer and Phillips in.

We have 52 guys on the roster now. With Oliver on IR we have two slots open.

I also think that Logue gets roster spot before Phillips.

The left tackle just rode ed to the ground.  What a bummer.

Saw the slo-mo replay of that. The OL literally tackled Oliver. No flag.

Also no flag on Palmers injury, which looked to have all the elements of a hip drop tackle.

What does that have to do with what he said?

Ed has played well this season.  Period.  But put a negative spin on it, just because

We've played 7 games.  Ed has only played in 2 1/2 of those 7.  It's not a negative spin but a real fact.  Can we count on him anymore?

He's probably gone for the year, so the answer is no, we can't count on him, at least this year.

Going forward...he hasn't been too injury prone in his career and it's hard to say having someone step on your ankle in practice and tearing a bicep are in any way related.

It’s a real fact that he’s played great this season.  All he said was “sad, playing very well”.  And he has played very well.  You reply (in bold) he’s only played 2.5 games this season.  What was the point of not to be negative?

Obviously we can’t count on him this regular season (and doubtful for the playoffs imo).

negative darts thrown just to be negative

Ed seems to wear down throughout the year.  Makes sense considering his size and position.

IF he is able to return this may be a blessing.  He could be fresh for the postseason.

He hasn't played enough this season to wear down.

Go get Christian Wilkins.

Maybe he’ll be less likely to play grab ass with Josh when on the same team.

Honestly im in. Hes a FA. Im sure the nfl is mad and kinda black balling him but maybe he just wants to see the field.

Maybe he tried to **** a dude. Is that the worst way to acquire a talent at discount. This is the way the Patriots use to cash in on a player at rock bottom value. Fixer-upper. Might even qualify us for comp pick?

Why not sign Christian Wilkens to PS and see what he has?

He'll probably send Josh, a Valentine.
