Good call out. If that was Rapp or Poyer back there, it's probably a house call by Dowdle

I think they are getting Hancock up to speed slowly while Po anchors it for now. I’m in agreement that they should just put the rookie in and get the snaps now

I also like that Hancock has 4.4 speed, we need more of that especially at safety and corner, seems like we’re finally getting it.

Great to get the win though. Got to get the next one vs. Chiefs on Sunday to truly make up for our recent back to back losses.

The Panthers allowed an average of 44 yards per game rushing over the last 3 games before ours, not sure where he was getting his numbers from

Panthers are not  known for not stopping the run though..  I think their run d was a bit overvalued based on schedule but they were solid/above average 

 

Jags ran on them week 1 but that was pretty much it.  I don’t think anyone would’ve predicted this result. Bills probably could’ve cracked 325 yards rushing if they didn’t shut things down in the 3rd quarter 

 

I heard a lot of ‘the bills won’t be able to run and dowdle will run all over them making the game close’ from the haters which are things they got pretty wrong.

There’s definitely this phenomenon where teams get labeled as ‘bad’ based on past years and it is automatically assumed these teams are not only bad overall but bad at every facet of football every year just based on name alone 😂

Carolina Panthers' last 3 opponents, BEFORE THEY FACED US, have bad run games.

 

Yeah, they're overrated at stopping the run. The Carolina Panthers proved that today. That's all that counts. Today, the present day. Not yesterday. Not 3 weeks ago.

 

Carolina couldn't stop Travis Etienne Jr and our stud, James Cook.

Yeah, concussions can be weird.  My daughter could pass her concussion test but had light sensitivity and intermittent brain fog for weeks.

 

I kind of suspect that is what's going on with Josh, and he can't tell anyone or he'll have to sit.

 

Yesterday's second tush push TD, he ran it standing straight up which I found odd and made me wonder if he was protecting his head?

 

He's definitely not thinking the game as well the last two games, at least.  One other odd thing is that the last two games he's been trying to mostly roll left to escape the pocket which I have no idea what that's about?

I know it won't happen, but in my dreams T Mac somehow becomes a Bill. He's the outside receiver Coleman was supposed to be plus great over the middle. With a quality QB he'd be electric.

McGrady is already a Bill. I doubt he would want to take a beating on the field at age 46 but a 6’8” wideout would be interesting.

There is no threat down the field and those deep players are just camping right at the line to gain. It is the perfect storm of inability to scheme guys open and the lack of talent to have a guy win 1v1 on the boundary.  
 

If this was a snap shot from 2022, Allen is 100% going to the bottom of the screen vs this look taking the match up. We saw it a million times with Diggs. He never looks that way and just plays the concept up top which seems outmatched from the snap. 

For all the yammer of "everyone eats" and "we don't have to worry about anyone getting his targets," it's awfully nice to have that one receiver who will almost always be open and will reliably catch the ball. Acquiring the 2020 version of Diggs right now would mean the Super Bowl. Acquiring a legit WR2 to go with Shakir and the Minions would mean a Super Bowl victory.

I love how for two weeks on here, the Panthers were a good team that was gonna give us fits with their run game and strong pass rush, but now that the Bills blew them out, they suck and the win doesn't matter.

I wouldn't be upset at all with this win. But at the same time, if you want to be intellectually honest, you have to say the passing game is, well, garbage.

 

Great win. Passing game needs help, desperately.

Khalil Shakir's juke move is the insanely good.

He moves his feet and hips both when he jukes.  DB's are taught to look at the hips and he fools defenders with his hips.

Jump cuts and hard cuts are good, and work but that's a lot of fast feet and make one cut.  

Shakir looks like he could cut in any direction 3-4 times in a blink of an eye.  

I have never seen a guy that can use shake his feet and hips at the same time in a juke.  It's unreal looking at it from the endzone, Madden view.

I can’t ever remember leaving a 40-9 win with so much concern about both the offense and the defense, but I see some cause for hope with some fresh blood on defense. It’s great to be able to run the ball, but we didn’t throw downfield much beyond about 5 yards. Nor did it look like we could.
