Ethan in Cleveland Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46710612/315k-fines-handed-giants-protocol-violations Concussion and injury tent protocol violation punishment handed down. I think the league went easy on them. Should have been a larger fine for the team, loss of a mid-round draft pick, and 2 game suspension for Daboll. Quote
haroldwaide Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Meh. It was a mistake in the heat of the moment they'll learn from it, which is good, and hopefully it won't happen again. I think fines were appropriate in this case. A second offense would definitely warrant suspensions and draft picks 2 4 Quote

I think this is the “is he ok” punishment, not the “you better clear him to play immediately or else” punishment this one is acknowledging the red line around the optics not that he was bullying doctors 2 Quote
boater Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Bursting into the tent, screaming at Josh, reaming Tyrod Taylor, all come to mind. Daboll lets his emotions overtake him at times. He'd be better off if he could get that under control. 1 Quote
4merper4mer Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A few years ago the Knicks had a guy named Jeremy Chin who had a hot streak and got 15 minutes of fame. They even had a slogan “Chinsanity”. Nobody even remembers him now. Skattebo is the latest in this lineage. If he weren’t playing for a NY team he’d be a big nothing. Enjoy it while it lasts kid. Quote

Daboll is an unusual moron--even for the Giants organization. 1 Quote

I'm not sure I agree with your take on Skattebo. He came into the league as a 4th round nobody and surprised people with his fearless, gritty running style, intense personality, and production. Best of all, he's got a fun sounding name. Put it all together, and there's your 15 minutes. I don't think being a Giant has a lot to do with it. 1 Quote

Alphadawg7 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago This was the proper outcome - just fine them and move on. It wasn't the issue some made it out to be in the media or around here. Quote
