Giants, Daboll and Skattebo - fined avoid suspension

Concussion and injury tent protocol violation punishment handed down.  I think the league went easy on them.  Should have been a larger fine for the team, loss of a mid-round draft pick, and 2 game suspension for Daboll.

Meh.  It was a mistake in the heat of the moment they'll learn from it, which is good, and hopefully it won't happen again.  I think fines were appropriate in this case.  A second offense would definitely warrant suspensions and draft picks

I think this is the “is he ok” punishment, not the “you better clear him to play immediately or else” punishment 

 

this one is acknowledging the red line around the optics not that he was bullying doctors

Daboll lets his emotions overtake him at times. He'd be better off if he could get that under control.

I'm not sure I agree with your take on Skattebo.  He came into the league as a 4th round nobody and surprised people with his fearless, gritty running style, intense personality, and production.  Best of all, he's got a fun sounding name.  Put it all together, and there's your 15 minutes.  I don't think being a Giant has a lot to do with it.
