If Beane could somehow trade for Olave that will show a lot of fans that he is serious about winning and humble enough to admit he was wrong. Hopefully his big dumb ego doesn’t get in the way of putting a better product out on the field that fans support with their hard earned money.

You clearly don't understand how this works. The NFLPA has in it's contract that the players HAVE to receive at least 4 days off. Consecutive days off. So that takes Palmer out of the workplace for 4 days. Assuming he went into the bye with a "let's see how this looks" after the bye then we are on track. Then some testing upon return etc etc. Today is Wednesday and I'm sure they knew this yesterday. It's pretty basic Boyst. Do you think this is romper room at 1 Bills drive? If so, go root for Miami cause you sound like  whiny tua all the time.

A. The wgr worries are so overblown. Beane isn't thinking about it, and certainly isn't making decisions as a result of it. 

B. Intentionally putting this out there decreases our leverage in a trade. The worse position were in the more a team is going to want for their asset 

C. That means the injury is real and a real concern. Could naturally create extra urgency to go after a WR

Because they don't know for how fast his recovery is going to be.  They get a free week here to let him recover and see how its responding.  If it starts look like its week to week and may only miss a game or two they wont need to use IR.  If its not progressing enough to where its probable he will miss more extended time, then IR will come into place.  

 

This is pretty standard for all teams, they had a bye week where no roster decision was needed to be made yet to give him time in treatment to get a better prognosis on how he is responding to the treatment. 

 

No disrespect, but literally no team is going to prematurely IR someone keeping them out a min of 4 weeks if they have a free week to see if treatment can result in him coming back sooner, especially with his type of injury.  This textbook and the right decision by the Bills

i get what you're saying but it seems a little late to be waiting to see if he goes to IR. to be hinting at it now just seems to be questionable judgement at worst i guess.

 

maybe they put him to IR Saturday, sign someone else for the week of the panthers, then hope Davis is available to play against the Chiefs?  i forgot Davis' timeline.

At this point, you are just throwing good money after bad.

This team needs so much help, at so many positions, one player isn’t going to move the needle enough. 
The argument could be made that the picks won’t be good next year when Beane craps the bed again with them but he’s already saddled us with enough crappy deals, I would rather not see one more.

I really liked Landon Jackson coming out and was pretty happy when the Bills Drafted him... But looking back on it now... AJ is still here, now Hoecht is on the roster, Solomon has played ahead of him all year... I don't know... There were certainly WR's I liked a lot that were still available at #72 overall... Not saying they would have made a huge difference. But there definitely seems to be an imbalance right now if nothing else. I still have huge hopes for Jackson though.
