I think he’s generally hands off when it concerns the offense, but if you want to assign him blame for not picking up the headset and setting his OC straight, I couldn’t argue with it. He gives his coordinators more space than maybe he should. 1 1 Quote
Pete Posted Friday at 10:36 PM Author Posted Friday at 10:36 PM go to 5:49 Cosell criticizes Brady’s simple concepts. You never see receivers “deep digs”. It’s been years. Lions do all the time. Zones you stress horizontally and vertically. Bills don’t do that. Short passes counting on YAC. Josh has great arm- never used. Brady’s stupid simple game plans are not taking advantage of Josh’s huge arm. It like having a Corvette, but never going above 3300 RPM 3 1 1 Quote

I'm definitely not an expert - but it definitely seems like our offense is simple, unimaginative, and easy to defend. 4 Quote

Mac Jones passed for 342 yards, 2TDs and beat the Rams with no Kittle, no Aiyuk, no Piersall - Christian has 3x the receptions as James Cook. We suggested Brady copied the 49ers. 3 Quote
SectionC3 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago My hope is that Daboll gets canned soon and, having buried the hatchet (I think, from what I heard) with Sean, comes back here to hang for the rest of the season as a consultant to lend a fresh set of eyes and spice things up a bit. 2 minutes ago, SectionC3 said: My hope is that Daboll gets canned soon and, having buried the hatchet (I think, from what I heard) with Sean, comes back here to hang for the rest of the season as a consultant to lend a fresh set of eyes and spice things up a bit. Having said that, and having seen who the Giants have on staff, there's no way they should fire him before the end of the year unless Dart gets hurt and can't play. 2 Quote

zow2 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago McDermott said in his presser that the offense cannot be one dimensional. He literally said they need to throw the ball better to WRs, TEs and RBs. So i think he’s giving Brady an earful about it. 1 2 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) I get our receiving corps isn't the best and that Brady has some good qualities. But I don't think he's adept at scheming a downfield passing game. And I don't see things getting much better the rest of the season. So I'm hoping McD and Brady hire a hotshot passing game coordinator to help him out next year. Edited 14 hours ago by hondo in seattle Quote
Chaos Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Based on the various pressers, it seems McDermott consider's Brady and Babich more as interns that coordinators. Its a problem. 1 Quote
dave mcbride Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The Bills are currently 4th in points per game, 3rd in yards per game, and 4th in points per drive. The rushing game is 1st in yards, 2nd in TDs, and 3rd in ypc. Allen has his second best qb rating of all time (after 2020) and is on pace for 41 total TDs. There is a huge problem at the boundary receiver position that has to be dealt with, but the last 1.5 seasons may be the best coordinated o-line game in franchise history. Brady has flaws, but he absolutely has strengths. 1 1 Quote
vincec Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Reading this thread it seems like people think a different OC will make Coleman and Moore look like Chase and Higgins or something. 1 Quote

DuckyBoys Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago If this offense cant move the DL and run the football Its game over Be nice to know we can turn to a passing game if we need to especially against press man to man I'm not counting on it Quote

Its a problem. Hard to find good help nowadays. But seriously people think McD stinks but he certainly can call a game on D and make the most out of avg patchwork players there, to make a serviceable unit. The young gun and up and comer focus in the league in the past 5 or so years hasn’t really panned out for anyone other than the Rams and 49ers. Our coords clearly not up to snuff yet.. Quote
MasterStrategist Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Im trying to think back to LY, and I we played any pass defenses like this years schedule so far? Just seems every week is a legit #1 CB/shutdown type that we are going against. Ravens: Humphrey albeit best in slot. No surprise we did have some success throwing outside against them Jets: Sauce, top 5 type any given sunday Phins: should've lit them up more, but we had some very nice drives and stuck to run too long Saints: moderate success, this is when concern started IMO Pats: Gonzalez is a top 5 type any given Sunday. Also Carlton Davis, who is no slouch either Falcons: Terrell, top 10 type - his length and physical play is difficult Panthers: Horn is a top 5 corner IMO, hes really played well this season Chiefs (upcoming): McDuffie is used all over, hes a top 5 corner overall (slot/boundary) but his length isnt ideal, you can only beat him with precise ball placement/bigger wrs Not saying its an excuse, but should be considered that weve literally faced 3 top 5 corner types already - and McDuffie this week. I think biggest issue, we are absolutely not built to be converting 3rd and 8+ this year. Man under 2 deep, is what we constantly face. We have to stay in 3rd and 4 or less, keep threat of run alive. Means avoiding dumb penalties, dominating at OL. That's where we are built to win, up front and using our TEs. We did alot better this weekend getting chunks in run game. Im not sure why we dont use more stretch/bootleg right now. We have the ability to use this.succwssfully. Quote
