It wasn't soft. Ball is in the air and he's forcibly tugging on Kelce's jersey in a way that restricts his movement to the ball.

 

I hate KC but even more than that I hate all the whining about how they get all the calls or whatever. If Detroit loses this game it will be because of three critical mistakes - procedural penalty on their 1st TD, ASB's 4th down drop, Hutchinson's dumb roughing the passer. Those mistakes may have represented like a 21 point swing.
