Not to beat a dead horse, but Collinsworth adds nothing to the broadcast. I’ve never played a down of organized football in my life and he doesn’t tell me anything I don’t already know.

Worst announcer of all the horrible announcers. Someone must like him, because NBC keeps him around.

Detroit doesn't really need this win against an AFC opponent and they're playing like it

Are you saying their chances of making the playoffs go up if they lose to an AFC team

It wasn't clear to me at all to be honest. The ball didn't move when it tapped the ground. For them to overturn it, it needs to be clear that the ground helped secure the catch. I don't think they were ever overturning that.

Were his hands under it though?  I legitimately dont recall?   From memory it looked like he hand two hands on top of the ball and there was nothing behind pig skin and the ground.

I thought it moved a little; not much, but more than Bert Emanuel's.

No but he seemed to have a pretty firm grip on the ball. People misunderstand if the rule. The ball is allowed to touch the ground as long as the ground doesn't help secure the catch. I don't think there was enough on replay to overturn that.

He can tell you what catching a pass from Turk Schonert was like …

That’s fair, but at what point do you alter your defense to provide more man coverage against the guy? He’s been destroying people for years, and doesn’t even look like a dude who runs really well anymore.

First of all, almost every NFL team runs zone at least 70% of the time. They can’t switch to man just to cover Kelce because they don’t have the DBs to do it. Secondly, he’s too big to be covered by DBs and too fast to be covered by LBs. If he’s on, he’s Gronk levels of undefendable.

And he's only that good when is in the slot.

3rd and 7, Kelce left uncovered🤮

He actually had a CB on him playing man. The old man just burned him (pretty embarrassing for that CB).
