I think it’s more if you have the catch secured already before you hit the ground and then the ball hits the ground and doesn’t move since you’ve got it secure.  I’m pretty sure Kelce actually used the ground to help catch that one and kinda trapped it on the turf but I’m not sure a challenge would’ve been successful cuz it was pretty close

Yea I think they’re saying you basically survived the ground because the catch was secure already and just happened to hit the ground and didn’t move.  It is all very needlessly complicated for sure I 100% agree 🤣

 

you def can’t trap it on the ground which is what it looked like Kelce did to me but it was one of those screwy ones where the burden of proof was probably too high to overturn
