US Egg Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago A far cry from the no net free-for-all behind the end zone for the ball at the Old War Memorial. My father wouldn’t let me go down there. 2 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago So why is it you cant keep a ball if it flys into the stands? Its not like baseball where it happens multiple times a game. The NFL that hard up? Quote
machine gun kelly Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Why not just let the guy have the ball? They have like 50 more at hand. He would save this forever. Giving him another ball isn’t the same. It’s BS to me. Quote

My guess is close to zero. I call bullsh*t. Quote
Pecker Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago What’s the point of the bills getting the ball back? Especially when they give you a different ball ?? Just let the fans keep it 1 Quote

Dan Darragh Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Tirico was hilarious. Funniest prime time football moment since this one in 1972: 2 Quote

947 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Wilson "The Duke" footballs are $160 nowadays, so it's not like losing a baseball into the stands. Quote
Playoffs? Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Stupid that the fans can’t keep the balls that they catch. The NFL and the owners bring in so much money. Let’s say 3 balls go into the stands each game (which may be on the high side), the NFL can’t afford $500 per game? Give me a break. 1 1 Quote

I know Josh thru it but that was a big game... and to leave your wife alone in the stands cmon man... At least the guy got a game ball out of it..........If you met my wife, you'd see why i would have left her for a hot dog. 1 Quote
Metal Man Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This doesn't make any sense. If they are willing to give fans a replacement ball anyway why not just let them keep the ball that goes into the stands? I guess unless the replacement is one of those mini footballs or a nerf one.... Quote

I think it is because, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, the game balls are now chipped for the first down technology. The replacement balls would be run-of-the-mill Wilson NFL footballs.
