I feel like it's the equivalent of what the Vegas knights do. His entire contract is guaranteed so they are stuffing him on IR to open up a roster spot. Hamlin that is. Unless NFL contracts work differently than NHL but he got all his money at signing so he's not making any more unless it would have been incentive based. Edited 3 hours ago by The Wiz Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The season has barely started. This team has been overwhelmed with injuries since the first week of training camp. i guess the only positive out of this is Jordan Hancock will potentially getting some sort of role in the defense. Maybe in the dime? I really hope ogunjobi is better than he was last year in Pittsburgh because now he is going to be relied on to play a lot and make a difference not just be a bonus. Quote

He's an OK depth/ST player but Bishop continues to make strides. No reason to bring him back. 35 minutes ago, bills742 said: Losing Samuel is something we are used to at this point. Just means Moore will likely be active. As good as Kincaid has been so far this year, I'm not worried about him being out. Should mean extra snaps for Hawes. Would like to see what he can do with a few extra targets. With Atlanta being vulnerable to the run, it may force us to play our two best run blocking TEs more. With the suspended players returning soon it was kind of expected that we’d see roster moves of this sort. Quote

TFBillsfan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) I know injuries are unpredictable but my lord! Hairston, Sanders and Strong all with significant injuries. Add in Hancock’s late preseason injury and this class is trending to have minimal impact this season. Walker and Hawes looking like the only ones that will contribute. Still not sure what they saw drafting Landon Jackson in the 3rd. Couple that with last year’s draft class with key injuries to Coleman, Bishop and Carter and the trend looks even worse. Carter looks like another wasted third round pick. Then let’s add in the amount of money Samuel is costing with almost zero return and who can’t stay healthy. Then sprinkle in Milano and two guys that had PED violations and its quite astonishing. At some point you have to really question what is occurring in scouting, drafting and free agency. Even if we suck this year, we're still going to win 10-11 games. There's no such thing as tanking for an elite talent when you have Josh Allen at QB. He keeps us afloat too well. 2 Quote

For a while it was Allen and Diggs Now it's Allen and Cook (who I'd argue is better because Cook actually shows up in the playoffs) But meanwhile, our defense has become worse. Somehow. This defense has never had a DL that is capable of causing chaos in the post-season. You think KC wins any of those Super Bowls without Chris Jones? MAYBE the first one, but DEFINITELY not the last two... LOL…..but seriously what gives you any confidence they’d actually draft an immediate impactful player based upon their track record? ColoradoBills Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I know the injuries suck, but ALL teams are facing them. Here is a snapshot of all the NFL teams IR lists. It truly is the next man up across the league. https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/analysis/nfl-injury-report-ir-tracker/ Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Does anyone know if the Sanders IR move can be retroactive to before last week’s missed game? I know they can retroactively place a player on Ir but there is a deadline to do so. I believe it is before the next game played, so likely passed already. Can anyone confirm? Quote

I think so but it sounds like it's going to be a lot longer than just a few weeks for sanders. McDermott said he's not sure if it's season ending or not for sanders, which isn't a great sign Quote

The Bengals first-rounder Shemar Stewart held out of camp and then got hurt during the week 2 game. He's been inactive since. People here know about the holdout but not the injury because, just like Hairston, it's not national news like a QB injury. Edited 2 hours ago by Low Positive 1 Quote

I know people thought Sanders was meh but I think he was doing fine as a rookie and had potential to improve throughout the season. Hopefully Larry O. has something left in tank and Oliver is healthy for the rest of the season. And what makes me sad people will somehow blame Beane for drafting TJ (along with Hairston). Quote

I have high hopes for Ogunjobi and Hoecht when they come back after the break. Neither had anything to prove during camp and preseason knowing they'd be off for 6 weeks. Roster moves had to be made. Right now, I get the feeling that Sanders will be able to come back if needed. 1 minute ago, stevestojan said: Time for Milano to retire. After he plays well and gets his ring in February. Quote
