Go look at the DJB reply where it shows the missed PI on the Chiefs player that while the ball was in the air knocked the Jags player to the ground and it wasn't called . EVERY ONE in the stadium, the broad cast booth, the retired ref that is now a announcer, knew that it was a blatant missed penalty and it was caught ON CAMERA for the entire world to see, YES those plays need to be reviewed !! I'm not talking about reviewing every- single - player to see if they committed a penalty because as you said there are penalties on every play especially on holding penalties on the O line there could be a penalty called every play ! I'm not talking about nit picking . But there were a lot of calls especially last season in the AFC Championship game that were IMHO blatantly missed to help the Chiefs to possibly do a 3 peat and those calls that change the out come need to be at the very least looked at and allowed to be over turned if they are found to be of that nature . I understand, but then you have the issue of what is “blatant”? I think if you look at all 22 players on the field you can find “blatant” infractions more than you think. Quote

They’ve moved on to Washington Chicago and New England. They need those teams QBs and their franchises to be relevant. They gave KC a swing call on the goaline fumble. So how does that work exactly? The great teams get some calls, same as Jordan got some calls. The conspiracy stuff to nudge teams further ahead would risk the entire NFL empire along with it's billion dollar gambling sponsorship. Some refs just aren't very good. Some don't like certain players/coaches/cities. You can get some bias. It's funny watching people turn into a pretzel to build the conspiracy angle. Quote

Felt like the chiefs got away with a ton of defensive holding in this one as they often do to me. Was kinda surprised they flagged that late one based on the rest of the game tbh…I wonder if they were aware they blew that Trevor INT dpi and were actively trying to even it out Edited 2 hours ago by Generic_Bills_Fan Quote
Pete Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Moments later, the referees penalized Buffalo for a “late hit” on Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, even though Maye was already sliding into contact. The call extended New England’s drive, setting up the game-winning field goal that sealed the Bills’ first home loss of the season. “Look, I love New England — always will,” Brady said. “But if we’re being honest, those calls were awful. The hit on Cook was missed, and that flag on Buffalo? Come on. You can’t let officiating decide games like that.” Brady’s comments echoed the frustration across the league, as fans accused the referees of “rigging” the outcome to favor the Patriots. They’ve moved on to Washington Chicago and New England. They need those teams QBs and their franchises to be relevant. My conspiracy, as I have posted before, is that they want a bunch of teams all bunched up at the end to make the last two weeks exciting. Last year, they got a bunch of meaningless week 18 games. The big embarrassment was that they got a situation where Cincinnati needed a Broncos loss to complete a fairytale comback, but because the Chiefs had nothing left to play for, they handed the game, and therefore the playoff spot, to the Broncos. People here in Cincinnati were really angry that the Chiefs were able to tank a game in order to keep a team capable of beating them out. I also remember that back in 2021, the Bengals tanked a game against the Browns to drop a playoff seed to try to avoid Jonathan Taylor and the Colts, which ended up being a moot point becuase the Colts lost to the Jags and missed the playoffs. You have to think that the league doesn't like teams throwing games to try to game the system. They want a bunch of "win and in" situations in the final weeks, thereby getting an extra two weeks of playoff ratings and attention. 1 Quote
buffalostu2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Watching the game live, I felt like Drake Maye's knee might have been down on the 4th quarter play, right before the two minute warning, where he rolled right and hit Diggs for the big yard gain. I have not seen any analysis on it. I am not sure how he could get enough on the ball to complete the throw running that hard right, without hitting the knee to the ground to create whip. Also, the play happened right before the two minute warning. This was the very last play eligible for a challenge by the Bills. When Daquan had him in his grasp, and Maye released the ball, he was 11 yards behind the line of scrimmage. I know it was first down, but I was screaming for a challenge which I know could have likely cost a valuable timeout (w/o the benefit of hindsight). But if he was ruled down, it would have put the Pats in a 2nd and 21. Shout out to BuffaloBillies who reminded me that the knee doesn't have to be down, any part above the foot including shin could be down. So, do you think it would have been good to challenge the call at that point and do you think he could/should have been ruled down? Sorry I cannot post a link to the play. yall Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I recall watching it, and on the replay it looked like his knee was just off the ground when the ball came out of his hand. Edited 1 hour ago by yall 5 Quote
Augie Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I didn’t think his knee was down, so I obviously wouldn’t have advised wasting a TO on a challenge. Quote
Low Positive Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No. Ball is out and his knee is still not down. Heck of a play. 3 2 Quote

The network (thus the league) had its narrative ready and did everything they could to make the team that lost at home to Vegas and Pittsburgh relevant again. Robert Kraft was in attendance. Is that normal for him on road games? You will not see a playoff game with 11 TOTAL penalties let alone 11 on one team. Yea they threw some on NE in the 2nd half but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t “fix it” later. THEY THREW A FLAG ON THE FINAL KICK RETURN. That was just in case we returned it for a TD. Holding calls that were beyond questionable and will NEVER be called in January. Our WRs NEVER are interfered with. Amazing considering how much man we see. NE never held on ANY passes - did I miss one? This isn’t a “blame the refs” for the loss either. You can take it that way but we had a chance to win. Then Shakir got mugged and the network did a great job showing why that wasn’t a DPI. Total joke. Not a blame the refs. You just won’t convince me otherwise that when this league needs something done for a team it will get done. They killed us in the 1st half with flags you can call on every play , I knew it was going to be a long night w Hochuli since the 1st qtr , consistently putting us behind the sticks.. And then the Tre PI and non call on Shakir, freaking joke 1 Quote

UConn James Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don't remember being all WTF while watching the replay and the stadium would've erupted in indignation. What WAS some absolute 🐂💩 was the uncalled intentional grounding when a DL had Maye dead to rights 10+ yards in the backfield, Maye switched the ball to his other hand and did a limp throwaway 5 yards to his right. The receiver #18 they said was "in the area" was about 7 yards away from where the ball landed. So... kinda sorta whatever but that was IG if I've ever seen it, if not by the letter of the rule then definitely by the spirit of it. We were playing the Pats* and Hoculi. 2 Quote
First Round Bust Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) play of the game - after review the knee was just above ground as pass is released - check it on youtube. As a Bills fan, I hate to say , but I predicted and won money based on Pats winning - Maye and Diggs played the best game of their lives and Bills were sloppy with turnovers...a Bills loss is usually agonizingly close and this was no exception...you can also say the defensive play of the game was where Gonzalez sprinted for PBU on 3rd down pass Kinkaid as Bills were driving and had to settle for FG and not the TD and clock control...onward Edited 1 hour ago by First Round Bust Quote
JP51 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I desperately wanted it to be down... but it wasnt... I couldnt honestly even Homer complain... he made a great play. Quote
