Keon WTF?

Still waiting for the Keon breakout that was hyped in the off-season. 

 

He's such a JAG. A jump ball guy out of necessity because he can't get any kind of separation.

He’s just not very good. This is who he is. If people expected more, it wasn’t based on his skillset, it was based on hope. It’s honestly not his fault. He works hard and has a great attitude. This is the exact guy he was on film in college. Expecting him to be someone that he wasn’t was the issue.

Watching this team try to cover might explain all the hype on Keon training camp this year. D sucks! Gives us false hope on our WR core every offseason. On Sunday no one gets open

Pretty clear that Keon is never going to be a good starting boundary WR. He doesn’t have the physical attributes to succeed, and I really doubt he becomes an elite route runner to make up for it at this point. For a 2nd round pick I guess he isn’t a huge bust, but still not what we needed.

 

Allen has made plenty of guys look serviceable, and then they look terrible when to move on to their next team.

As Coleman was tucking it away, the Patriots defender reached in and got his hand on the nose of the football and pulled it out. Sometimes you just tip your cap. Those guys are getting paid as well.

Like Worthy is a # 1 WR.  Coleman made a couple really good plays yesterday that were overshadowed by the fumble

I agree.  But Bills offense was off, and didn’t need careless turnovers, too much to overcome apparently 

I watch that replay and get sick to my stomach.  Zero ball security.  Keon has ball in his right hand, loosely.  Defender hits Keons left hand, and the ball flies out of his right hand
 

The defender has his left hand on the ball and pops it out. You can clearly see it on the replay in this thread (if you can stomach watching it again, it's very apparent on the second angle they show).

Fumbles, drops, penalties, a pick, inconsistent pressure, OL struggles, missed tackles, etc. Take your pick. And then Maye was ridiculous escaping some of those sacks, so annoying. 

 

Crap happens. Get over it and get it together for the next one.

FIRSTTTTT THING THEY TEACH AT POP WARNER.

 

Not to mention there was zero to be gained even if he did pick it up.

 

I still hate it but can wrap my head around a DE trying to scoop a ball after a FF strip on a QB, this was certainly not that scenario. Very very dumb in traffic. Zero upside

I'd argue our biggest problem is completing the act of a sack. We get to the qb, but take 5 seconds trying to get him down while he still releases the ball.  That 4th quarter completion to Diggs was the game.

Last week Keon had a couple of nice catches open one drive. Broadcast showed how he got separation, but watching at the game it was much better looking in person. Got open and seemed to be n synchronized with Josh.  Seems like they’d rather use him for ”contested catches”.

 

Sorry but contested catches should not be ALL you have in your arsenal. Should be a small percentage versus getting open, YAC or making sideline grabs.  Really need a true number one receiver.

Absolutey. That falls under the tackling issue. Happened in the Baltimore game several times. Players lunging at the feet of the players, Lamar included. 
 

If DaQuan stays in his feet, even just forces a BS throw, it could have been a different outcome.

And that's what i'm saying, the whole team played badly regardless of Colemans fumble, where in games past, the team could have easily overcome some sloppy undisciplined play, but last night..........ugh

15 called penalties....this team was not caught in a white out but extreme fog. No focus at all last night.

And as I recall we had 2 more opportunities earlier in the game to sack Maye. Instead we just hang on his legs like some little kid playing with their dad.  Both times he was able to throw the ball away and avoid a big loss.  Game wreckers don't miss sack opportunities like that.

How the hell did he get his hand on the nose of the ball?  Football 101 I learned in pee wee football, keep your hand on the nose of the football and grip it tight.
