DeepPass Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago It's not hard to observe the Corporate strategies at these two destinations. Las Vegas isn't about cheap food, inexpensive drinks and living like a king for a few days of gambling anymore. With $16 Budweiser's, resort fees higher than room rates and $150 buffets the 'average' tourist is being priced out. The Corporations that run Las Vegas are making higher profits with less people coming to town. The wealthy and high rollers are now their target guests. It seems to me the Bills are using the same strategy with the new stadium. Fewer seats, seat licenses and much higher ticket prices are making it difficult for the 'average' fan to attend a game. The people that filled the 80,000 seats in Rich Stadium and now 70,000 seats are being left out. They aren't needed anymore! The Bills will make more profit with fewer fans to deal with. I think we'll miss the days of raucous, crazy fans cheering on the Bills! 3 5 2 1 Quote
Ya Digg? Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago You’re describing literally every big business there is, it’s not just a Bills/Las Vegas thing. I’m honestly trying to think of something popular now (or even a necessity like flying) that hasn’t priced out the average American/family. I just read today that it now costs an average of $4000-$10,000 for a family of 4 to go to Disney for 5 days 1 Quote
BigDingus Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago You're right, but that's just how this country has become. The NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. isn't targeting the average American for live games anymore. Corporations buying up real estate, driving up prices so the aerage person can no longer buy a house. Grocery prices through the roof. College tuition has become so expesive it's shocking. Tickets to concerts & live events cost a small fortune. Subscription services increasing prices faster than ever. It's effecting every hobby. Like for mine - Video games & video game consoles used to go DOWN in price. Not anymore! You got Microsoft raising prices on 5 year old hardware twice in the same year. Nintendo raising prices on 9 year consoles. Games were $60 for 15 years, now they've gone up to $70 & $80 in just the last 5 (plus tons of in-game microtransactions & DLC). So don't get mad at the Bills. They're just keeping up with the Jones' (and Jerry Jones'). 1 Quote

The tickets for John Cena's final match are $8500 for floor seats and $250 for nose bleeds. Quote
Cheektowaga Chad Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Currently the actual season ticket prices are nearly identical. im actually gonna pay less next season in season tickets than I am this season for supposedly similar seats Will that continue, we will see 4 minutes ago, loyal2dagame said: In line with pricing people out, it's funny that TKO, who owns the UFC and WWE, came out and said that Vince McMahon priced his product for families and TKO is increasing prices for maximum profit. All I can come up with is Arizona Iced Tea. That’ll probably change when the owner dies or retires though. 2 Quote
ProcessTruster Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago putting the PSL cost aside, are the new stadium game ticket prices comparable to what game ticket prices are today (for similar seats, of course) ? any insight to share on this?? thanks Quote

SoCal Deek Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago There’s nothing to see here. It’s the natural evolution of things. Sure, Major League sports have become more expensive as they’ve become more and more popular. This has been happening slowly over many decades. But “corporations”? I think not. It’s nothing more than a business model. Some car manufacturers target higher end customers. So do some restaurants, and clothing stores. But….there are plenty of options to attend entertainment events (sports, theater, etc) that are not super expensive. For example, I regularly attend college games of almost every sport that are actually FREE. It’s competitive and a ton of fun. 1 Quote

UB football and basketball are D1 programs and dirt cheap. Night out with a family of 4, incl tickets, parking and food, for under $100. Bandits lacrosse tickets are still pretty cheap and they are a dynasty. Buffalo is a member of a very exclusive club: being an NFL city. These are the costs to belong. In fact if Buffalo didn't get the Bills in the 60's or Sabres in the 70's, a city of our size and economic stature would never sniff a professional franchise in any sport. SoCal Deek Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Keep in mind that back when the Bills began, the players bagged groceries in the offseason. I highly doubt that you’ll see either Josh or his starlet wife working the produce section at Wegmans this spring. Quote
