Dillenger4 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 That was an awesome game to watch! I think both teams looked strong but the Lions for sure looked, and were, a solid unit on both sides of the ball. What I did notice is the Ravens (Henry and Lamar) whining a LOT after plays. On the sideline and on the field. Just a total whiny vibe coming from them in their facial reactions etc. Not earth shattering - but if my team did that I would be concerned. Something off in Charm City... my spidey senses tell me. 3 1 Quote

As I mentioned elsewhere, in Sunday's win over Denver, analyst Trent Green said he considers Herbert to be the best QB in the NFL. I was shocked and outraged but Green's not the only want who's gravitating towards the new, shiny object with his hot takes. True but their D was more than just assignment sound. For sure, if the Chargers can get the 1 seed Herbert is the MVP, he’s going to have to get the 1 seed over Allen to win it, IMHO. 1 Quote

They’re morphing into the Kansas City Chiefs before our very eyes. 1 Quote
Ralonzo Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I would be very curious to see what Lamar Jackson's output would be if you removed the plays where the first read wasn't open by 3 yards, and he completed the throw from the pocket to a secondary read. They do a lot with their scheming and the threat of running with Henry to get guys WIDE open, and Lamar does tremendous damage from scramble drill, but I'd love to watch tape to see if he's actually going through progressions or it's strictly Plan A wide open or Plan B freelance. 1 Quote

Especially Lamar, yes Henry had a minor meltdown after his fumble (a la Bills) to lose the game, that is understandable, Lamar is always whiny, not a good look. 1 Quote
Dillenger4 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Henry also looked "tired". And by that I mean.... as a tackler approached him on most of his runs, Henry would either just go down or really "turtle" to absorb the hit. His age maybe catching up to him or he may have a nagging injury/soreness. Who knows, but he definitely looked affected by something as the game wore on. Quote
ChronicAndKnuckles Posted September 23 Posted September 23 When will fans put some respect on Goff’s name? Lions convincingly beat a very good Ravens team on the road. I think he will make a run at MVP and deservedly so. I feel like Jared Goff is criminally underrated by fans. They have elite talent for sure, but he is the engine behind that entire offense. Elite timing and accuracy. And they don’t settle for field goals either 1 2 1 Quote

He’s not going to inspire viral videos. That’s what it takes for people to recognize a guy. Goff is old school, he plays QB from the pocket and does a great job of it. 1 1 Quote

He is as consistent as the come and the perfect QB to help turn that team around. He gets a bad rap from what happened in the SB, but hes always been a good player 1 Quote

Now factor in when and where they were in the game and on the road. Goff will definitely garner MVP attention. 1 Quote

But St. Brown is an incredible route runner. Anything less than perfect routes and Goff doesn't get clean targets. Quote

There’s a good chance they could face off in the NFCC 1 Quote
wjag Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Pretty amazing to me how the league can turn on a weekend.. Heading into the weekend the talk was all Green Bay and the less than stellar Lions. 48 hours later, the Packers forgot the "on any given Sunday" mantra and the Lions curb stomped the Ravens under the bright lights. Now it feels like the Lions division to lose. 2 Quote

Rams won a Super Bowl with Stafford. Goff is running the most exciting offense. Beating Baltimore on road on MNF is impressive Quote

It seemed like every play in the second half that didn't go their way, Lamar had some reaction or was making some kind of face about it. Was definitely off-putting. 1 Quote
