Why isn't Josh the NFL Man of the Year?

Considering his on-field excellence and his incredible involvement with the Oshei hospital and all the rest of what he does, it seems like he's an obvious choice.  Any ideas why this hasn't happened?

Dion Dawkins has been nominated the last 3 years.  Can't win if your teammate is the one getting nominated.

My guess is with everything Allen has going, he lends his name to many things, but is he personally putting in as much time as say Dion Dawkins is?  And folks who do the nominating see that.
